Amazon currently lists quite a number of 5 kg / 1g resolution compact kitchen scales (11# / 0.04oz), mainly differing in external physical design. A lot of the designs are quite sleek and modern, and will look nice sitting on a counter, but are probably a bit less than practical for actual use. The Cicada scale has a quite practical traditional small scale form factor that seems to be very usable. It has a good selection of units, a clear, easy to read display, and easy to use basic weighing functions. I don't have a precision calibration mass to check its accuracy, but weighing a few US coins gives the expected values within rounding error, so accurate to less than 1g. Construction is light; fine for most kitchen use, but probably not sturdy enough for rough use.

I've purchased this product for my mother. She absolutely loves it and makes the best use of this when weighing various amounts of vegetables and fruits. It's really easy to read, has accurate measurements and has just an overall excellent design. This does require three triple A batteries to use but it's an easy to use product.

This came nicely packaged, it looked just as described once out of the box. It is lightweight and compact so it fits nicely on the counter without taking up a bunch of space and is easily moved when the space is needed.It is a very simple machine, easy to use even without previous experience. I do tend to use a small square of wax paper each time I put food on it to cut down on surface germs/bacteria and cross contamination. This has in no way affected the machine's ability to calculate the weight of my items. Very happy with the product so far and would definitely recommend it. :):)

Works well but more complicated than the old-fashion no battery scales!

Well packaged. Worked great right out of the box. Small and compact. Easy to find a convenient place to store in a kitchen short on space.

The design is excellent. The only drawback is the scale did not function upon battery insertion. In all fairness, the company offered a free replacement; however, by that time I'd already purchased another scale from a different company.

I got the package, put the batteries in, and it wouldn’t turn on. Not happy

Antsfam Digital Kitchen Food Scale Electronic, got here late, but that is not the product problem. Tge scale has been great so far, we really have no complaints, seems stable and accurate. If anything changes I will update here.
