After using several USB powered from the laptop or wall adapter docking stations and suffering with network connectivity issues with my WFH setup I was pleased that a client provided laptop (MacBook Pro M3 Max) included one of these. When 1 HDMI monitor and GBit network would bring those other docking stations to their knees this has been rock solid. No client disappointments during Teams or Webex sessions -- it has not dropped, even when I am presenting a locally running AI model. Sometimes it feels like I get better performance with this home setup than what is provided at the client site. So I bought one for my own personal MacBook. You give up some desk real estate since it requires two enclosures: the docking station and the power adapter.

these little docking stations are great - so easy to connect and I like that they have the laptop connector attached - makes it easier to have to purchase less cords it is so sleek and small takes up very little room

Works well, but took a little debugging. Installed on XPS 16 9640 laptop with two external monitors, keyboard, mouse, Hard drive and USB sticks. Started getting blue screens, black screens, dark screens. One expert suggested replacing it with a fully compliant Thunderbolt 4 dock (to match the 9640 XPS). However another expert suggested I review the reliability history log and we found the apparent cause is Dell support assist remediation.agent. exe, COM Surrogate, not high speed com incompatibility. Disabling this DELL support program and restarting seems to have fixed the problem. A little soon to know for sure but good so far!

This unit offers a great combination of price, features, and performance. The double monitor support works well with both my PC and my KVM switch. I use it in a home office, so the gigabit Ethernet offers me the highest possible speeds. Multiple USB ports support an additional hub as well direct connections to the dock or PC. Power distribution and its own power supply are the icing on the cake. My PC switches smoothly from being wired in the dock to wireless on the go. The small footprint fits easily on my desktop stand. It even has a 3.5 mm speaker jack for my aging (but excellent) desktop soundbar.

I bought this because I needed to have an extender screen for my laptop on my desk. I have a Lenovo ThinkPad with a USB-C plug-in adapter so now all I need to do is just plug in this in the screen comes on and I get charged. I also set it up so I can have my external drive running into the extender so now I have my data drive connected every time I login.

My work upgraded our laptops, which meant I needed a new hub for working from home. I was looking for one that had USB-C connections and would also charge. Most of the options required a separate power adapter, which wasn't a big deal, but meant one more thing to buy and mess with. I found this which was powered, so would charge. Looked like the perfect solution. It arrived and I got it set up. Turned on computer and noticed the laptop was charging. HDMI also worked fine with the external monitor. However, the USB ports did not work consistently. None of my peripherals showed up. Certain peripherals would only work in certain ports some of the time. If I unplugged anything and plugged back in (e.g. USB Flash Drive), it wouldn't mount. I would have to restart my computer and even then it was only a 15% chance it would mount. I knew it wasn't the drive as it mounted fine if plugged directly in. Similar story with my USB webcam. I even tried with my personal computer thinking there may be some funky software on my work computer futzing with things. Same situation. At that point, I suspected it may be the hub, so I ordered an Anker one and external power adapter. That set up worked flawlessly. So definitely wasn't my computer or any peripherals. Overall this hub is junk with only intermittent functionality. Look elsewhere for better quality options.

Just a collection of spare parts with no instructions to simplify or what is needed to actually convert

It was great for a year but it’s already quit working an unfortunate I don’t think there’s warranty. I would expect this to last more than a year.

Endlich etwas wo ich 2 Bildschirme mit dem Laptop verbinden kann und zusätzliche Geräte anbinden kann ohne dass immer alles zusammenbricht.

Ich habe mir die Docking Station für mein Linux - Notbook angeschafft. Es funktioniert. Ich nutze es für die Erweiterung meiner USB - Anschlüsse. Die Monitor - Anschlüsse habe ich nicht getestet.
