They are excellent for hot and cold beverages and are leak free. I bought this particular mug because it has the plastic cover around the mouth for drinking comfort, which the small one has but not the larger one. In the picture above, the 10 and 12 oz looks like the same size but they are not. The 10 oz is smaller in circumference. The 12 oz and 16 oz mugs have the tea basket but not the plastic cover which makes it difficult to sip if the drink is really hot. Please note also, that the 10 oz and 7 oz mugs does not have the tea baskets. Its not a problem for me since I only use tea bags in those.
