Natural Deodorant Stick - Ylang Ylang & Cedarwood - 70ml

Great product that is gentle on the skin. It now works well and I really like the gentle aroma. I tried this because I developed underarm sensitivity to traditional roll on deodorants. If (like I was) you’re transitioning from a regular deodorant, I’d suggest persevering with this for a few days. The first day or two, I felt like it wasn’t working. By the end of each day, I had a slightly unpleasant underarm aroma. I’m guessing that was my body adjusting to not being swamped by the chemicals in regular deodorants - I’m not sure. But it works brilliantly now, lasts well and has cured the sensitivity

Here is why I have rated this deodorant 5* SCENT - Cedarwood and Ylang-Ylang not too overpowering and is very pleasent. PRO's - No more scooping out a paste and getting it under the nails. No more strange looks in the gym changing room scooping paste out from a jar. The stick is easier to apply, less cumbersome and doesn't draw unwanted attention. I have used all natural deodorants for many years and most are scentless or the scent wears away quickly! This deodorant held up all day and beyond on a single application. USE - I followed the very thorough instructions provided. On first use, you must push up the stick, this took me a moment but with enough pressure I got it to the starting point...after this it has been very easy. I held the stick under the arm against the skin to warm it up to make application easier (as suggested). The natural oils do help to keep the skin nicely nourished and I had no drying out. If I found applying a little dry (my own impatience for not warming it up enough under the arm), then I would massage the residual in and this resolved the issue in seconds. I am human and I do not always apply the time needed when in a rush! I had never used a stick deodorant like this before and I spent the first few days working out on how best to apply. I now feel very confident in applying the product. (It really doesn't take long to sufficiently warm the stick up) DURABILITY- This is so important for any deodorant and I needed to put it through its paces to make sure it met the needs of what I was looking for. NON NATURAL DEODORANTS are full of ingredients that block pours to prevent odour. I cannot use these kinds of products that usually contain aluminium or alcohol as my glands become raised and painful. This is why I can only use products free of these ingredients. I applied the Ylang-Ylang and Cedarwood stick after a shower, went to the gym with a mix of cardio/weight training. It held up so well, I could not detect any odour and the scent was still holding out. I decided to test its durability further to see how long I could make it last before I could pick up any odour....yep! I am sorry if this sounds horrible but it is about value for money and the product being fit for purpose. I applied the deodorant in the morning after a shower, spent my day doing all the usual activities and had a training session that evening and went to bed. The next day I had an early morning cardio and gym session. The conclusion of my VALUE FOR MONEY/DURABILITY TEST, was it held up for 24 hours + and I still did not detect any odour. Now all our bodies are different but I have never used a natural product that has held up that well under the same conditions. I never usually leave many reviews for anything I buy. Yet I had made an effort to share my review as I do hope this will benefit anyone looking to purchase an all natural deodorant. Looking to understand the benefits of this product in particular. I hope even though for my own personal assessment for value and how well the product will work for me. I hope this review will help anyone who is looking to try this product, looking for a new deodorant or wanting to know more information from a customer. It is very well priced and extremely fantastic value and delivers on every level I needed it to.

Really effective and good quality. This works really well for me, obviously everyone is different. I have been using ‘natural’ , aluminium free deodorants for many years so I’m used to the concept ( and the extra cost ) but I haven’t tried a solid ‘stick’ deodorant of any kind for probably over 20 years. I have used this every day for about 8 weeks and it’s almost run out. It has been very hot during a lot of that time and I can confirm I have not smelt sweaty at all. It’s important to note that this is not an anti-perspirant, you will still sweat. For me it was very effective in stopping unpleasant smells. I am menopausal so sweat is a problem (especially at night) but I have found this to last the full 24 hours on me . I can’t however vouch for how effective this is if you were to do any extreme exercise or if you are a younger person. *Make sure to hold it under the armpit for a couple of seconds to soften it up* I personally like the smell of Ylang Ylang and Cedarwood but I know not everyone does. I didn’t find the smell strong or weak , it was just right. I see there are other scents I may try them too. The push up packaging is a little difficult , increasingly towards the end of the product. I feel I may have to waste a couple of days worth of the stick because I can’t reach into the tube enough to apply sufficient pressure. This is the nature of the cardboard design , I’m not sure anything can be done but it may deter some. I think I’ve probably had my moneys worth. I’m just about to order again , I see that I can buy a pack of two for slightly cheaper so that will help Oh and of course it didn’t irritate my skin, feel particularly greasy or stain my clothes ( I don’t wear tight or fancy things however!) I’m buying this again today

This is a lovely product and just what I was looking for. A natural deodorant without aluminium salts that is easy to use, not messy, and with a pleasant fragrance. Fragrance is not overpowering however. Cardboard casing works well. It would be great if slimmer, smaller travel sizes were available in the future. All in good time. Highly recommended product!

I’ve been trying this Ilex Wood natural deodorant stick for a while now, mainly as a switch away from conventional aluminium-based products, and overall it’s been a positive experience. First impressions are good — it feels well-made and genuinely natural, with a simple, minimal design. The application is smooth and doesn’t feel sticky or heavy on the skin, which is often a concern with natural deodorants. In terms of performance, it holds up well for everyday use. On normal days it keeps odour under control without any issues, and it feels much gentler on the skin compared to standard deodorants. The scent is quite subtle and natural rather than strong or perfumed, which I personally prefer. It does take a short adjustment period if you’re switching from an aluminium-based antiperspirant. On particularly active or warm days, you may need to reapply, as it’s not designed to completely block sweating in the same way clinical products do. The stick format is convenient and lasts reasonably well with regular use, and being handmade in the UK adds a nice touch of quality assurance. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a more natural, skin-friendly deodorant. It may not be the strongest option for heavy sweating, but for everyday use it’s reliable, comfortable, and pleasantly understated.

I bought this as a natural alternative to conventional deodorants. It does a decent job of controlling body odour throughout the day, which is its biggest strength. However, don't expect the fresh fragrance you get from most commercial deodorants, as this one is virtually fragrance free. I also found the stick quite small for the price, and the texture feels a bit rough when applying it to my underarms and chest, making it less comfortable to use. Overall, it's an acceptable product if your priority is a natural deodorant with effective odour control, but there is room for improvement in terms of application and user experience.

Been using this deodorant now for a couple of years and can honestly say that it is a great product. I find it easy to apply and haven’t had any problems with it’s application or the cardboard tube it is housed in.It has a lovely scent and glides on very easily. I switched from an antiperspirant so took a bit of adjustment to get used to not having dry armpits but this is the body just doing it’s thing and I find this deodorant controls odour really well all day long.

I really like this business, I always try to support British based companies and was so happy to find a natural, eco friendly deodorant to use that they make. It smells beautiful and I appreciate the fully recyclable packaging too. Its 2 months since I switched to natural deodorant where I have learnt whilst my skin and body are adapting to the different PH of deodorant and no antipersparent that I need an armpit 'detox' about once per month. This has helped me smell much less and has made my natural options more effective in keeping me smelling fresh throughout the day. However despite all this, I have found this deodorant doesnt last very long on me. Its a great idea and very moisturising but its given my armpits whiteheads which I have never had before. Ive also found the moisture doesnt go away and does stain my clothes a little, usually some will dry and get absorbed fully. Its clearly a nice quality product, well thought out ingredients, nice smell and eco-friendly but maybe its a trial and error thing?

Super déodorant moi qui déteste l'odeur de la transpiration j'ai enfin trouvé un déodorant qui couvre cette odeur avec une bonne senteur épicée on a pas besoin d'en mettre beaucoup je recommande

i like it but for how much it is, would of liked it to be bigger but my fault on not looking at the size. I like the all natural with no fragrance in it beside the NATURALLY occurring scent!! package of the deodorant is nice aswell.
