Very Comfortable
I ordered three of these for my kids' bunk beds and their trundle bed. I opted for the 6 inch because their bunk bed is metal and I wasn't so sure about a foam mattress in the first place. After reading all of the reviews, good and bad, I decided that, for the price, it was worth a shot. They come rolled up, in a box inside of a bag inside of another bag. The box weighs approximately 20lbs. Easy enough for me to carry inside even with a pulled muscle in my back. Pulling it out of the white bag that it came in was pretty cumbersome so I ripped the seam of the bag and my daughter and I ripped the bag open. They're vacuume sealed inside of a clear plastic bag. As soon as we ripped the clear plastic bag open, almost immediately, the mattress started to decompress. Within a couple of hours, they were to their full size. I'll try and upload a couple of pics later. The mattress itself has a zippered cover on it. I read some reviews about how when they washed it it started to ball up and come apart. In my opinion, the cover isn't really intended to be used as a sheet, it's just a protective cover that the mattress goes in since it is foam. I put my kids' sheets on the bed just like normal. However, because I have memory foam pillows, I know how nasty the protective cover can get, that's just on a pillow. I could imagine the cover on the mattress could get equally dirty, but with proper weekly sheet changes, you should only have to wash the protective cover once every three months maybe longer depending on your preference. If you intend to wash the protective cover on your mattress you should be careful when removing it because you could tear or puncture the foam and the mattress could eventually fall apart. I recommend either hand washing the cover or placing it in alone on the gentle cycle and then allowing it to air dry, not put it in the dryer. That will keep the protective cover from balling up and coming apart. COMFORT. When buying a mattress you always look for what's comfortable for you. My eight year old has always had a hard time falling asleep. He tosses and turns trying to find a comfortable position and when he starts to drift off to dreamland he usually jerks himself awake for one reason or another. Within minutes of him going to bed he was out and he slept the entire night. I personally have a very expensive pillow top coil spring mattress that I keep a feather bed on, after just laying on their bed last night, I'm considering getting rid of my very expensive pillow top coil spring mattress and switching to this one. I am very highly satisfied and will be purchasing another twin 6 inch for my daughter's bed. My kids got the best night's sleep they have had in a very long time because of these.

Best mattress I've ever owned!
First off, i read hundreds of these reviews before buying my matress. I bought this mattress in December 2020, I have owned it for over a year and a half now and feel like it is time to leave a review. I will start by saying, this is the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. When I go to a hotel, family members house, camping etc. I cannot wait to get back home to my own bed. I would also note that I am a back/side sleeper. To address the negative comments here. Obviously things happen, but in my experience. I don't understand how other people have mold, but I have never had this issue.. I live in Florida and it is very humid, and I have absolutely no signs of mold on my mattress. I have not seen any signs of bed bugs or any other bugs. The mattress expanded to the full 6" within 24 hrs of opening out of the plastic wrap. I don't know about the fiberglass inside, but I have a dust mite proof cover on it since I bought it. So, either way it doesn't matter. I have had no issues breathing. I have seen the warning label others have posted a picture of, that says "do not remove the inner cover"... like the "warning hot contents" label on coffee lids, some people won't listen to warnings, and then cry about it afterwards when they get hurt. The mattress is just as comfortable as the day I bought it. I have a herniated disk and have 0 back issues on this mattress. It is a bit on the firmer side to be sure. I am 160lbs and sink a tiny bit into it. I flip it over every 6 months to avoid any holes, I also rotate it 180° as well. Overall this mattress is an amazing deal. I bought my twin mattress for $137. I bought a 2nd one for my spouse. We had a queen bed before from a mattress store that cost over $2000 and we would always roll into one another. Now we each have our own and sleep soundly every night. I recommend this mattress to all my friends and family. I will buy another one of these mattresses in the future when this one wears out. Best of luck to you!

nice and firm 6inch narrow twin!
I purchased this mattress for my travel trailer as we remodeled it from a Queen to two narrow twins. I am 5'6" and 215lbs and a side sleeper. I needed something that would not sink to the frame if I sat on it or laid on it. This certainly fit the bill. I read literally hundreds of reviews of foam, foam combination and foam hybrid mattresses over a two month period trying to make up may mind. Many of the negative reviews for these "bed in a box" type mattresses centered around horrible smell, the mattress not expanding to it's full height and even one about health issues from fiberglass {or ?} shards from opening the cover that it came in. I don't know about the shards of material from inside the cover as I am not about to remove the cover. In fact, I will be inserting it into an additional waterproof cover, putting a blanket underneath it, then adding a 2" egg crate gel topper plus a fluffy queen size quilt folded in half to lay on. I laid on the mattress only and I was far from sinking down to the flat frame. I will just be adding a bit of "Cush for the Tush". As for not decompressing to full dimension as advertised let me say this. The distribution point for my area was within a couple hundred miles so my mattress arrived within only a few days. Also, I opened it up and laid it out within an hour of receiving it. NO smell whatsoever and it decompressed to it's full 6inches within 2hrs if not sooner. I believe it is VERY IMPORTANT to have any type of foam mattress shipped to you from the closest possible facility even if it costs a bit more. All this being said, I do not know how durable it will be but since it will only be used for 60 or so nights a year while camping. I also have no opinion on how comfortable it would be for long term {daily} use. For the price I think it is a GREAT firm foundation to build on. It is not heavy but it is very supportive. With some inexpensive additions for comfort I am very satisfied. Again, I am 73 years young, 5'6" and 215 lbs. I will write another review after I have spent some time sleeping on it to assess the sleep quality, pain relief and overall comfort.

I wish I could give this mattress 5 stars alone for the value, where else are you going to find a king size memory foam mattress this cheap? Well you get what you pay for, but there’s potential for this mattress! I bought this mattress sometime around last August 2019. It is now April 2020 and I feel now after 7 months of use I can give my verdict. My girlfriend and I love the size for the space that we each love to have when we sleep, once you go king size you can never go back to a regular size bed it’s impossible, but the main problem we had was the comfort. This is not the most uncomfortable mattress on the market but in our case, we found it to be very stiff and over time our bodies made their indents into the cushioning and made sleeping almost unbearable, you get what you pay for! That’s when we decided to get two 2 inch foam mattress toppers, and a 2 inch pillow mattress topper. Now this bed is beyond amazing! I sleep so comfortably at night having an equal balance of soft cushioning and firmness. The reason why I am rating the mattress the higher rating that I am is because of the value you get from it and the potential it has to be customized to fit anybody’s needs! Maybe some people prefer a firm mattress and would love it as is, others can throw a topper or two (or three) and will fall in love with their beds all over again!

Great mattress for a guest room.
Great mattress we use in a guest room on a metal foundation. Durable, soft, and fits perfectly. Allow 48 to 72 hours for it to expand, and be ready to use after you receive it. I would recommend a thicker mattress for some adults, depending on your needs.

it's a comfortable bed
Now I wasn't expecting greatness, especially given the reviews, but this mattress is definitely a huge upgrade from my old memory foam mattress. I sleep on a loft bed (with a ceiling fan that is always turned on and is about a few inches away from my head lol) and prior to getting this mattress, I was sleeping on a 12 inch memory foam matters which was very plush. The reason I decided to go with a lower mattress was so that I, 1: wouldn't get hit by the fan, and 2: I would no longer get back, shoulder, and neck pain. This mattress fixed all of that. Yes, it's a little harder then most memory foam mattresses but, because of it's hardness, I no longer get any sort of pain (mostly because I'm not sinking into it to the point where my spine is curved in a weird way). I also no longer feel like I'm sinking (which is another plus). The mattress is also good for people who sleep on their sides as well. It's still memory foam so you still will sink into the mattress. Your shoulder won't get any pain like the type you would get sleeping on a spring mattress. (unless your pillow is so thin that it's literally apart of the mattress). Overall, I recommend this mattress as it won't break the bank and it's still really comfortable even if it's a little hard.

I’m happy with it!
I ordered this mattress in May, after I saw that the price had gone down to about $100 (my budget for full mattress was $100) + free shipping. Reading the reviews, I was worried I’d be one of the people who had a bad experience with this mattress and I didn’t know what I’d do if so. It arrived around May 21st but I was in Tx at the time and didn’t return to my new apartment til May 27th. The packaging looked fine but I didn’t want to open it until my frame was set up (Malm High bed frame from Ikea) which didn’t happen until May 31st. I didn’t realize until then that the company advises you to open the package within like 72hours of delivery. It’d been delivered over a week prior by this point so my worry that it wouldn’t rise and look proper increased tenfold. Finally around 5pm I opened it and put in on the frame (mattress is slightly too big for frame in length and width btw but not so much so that it was an issue for me). The smell is indeed strong so I opened a window. Honestly, within like an hour, it’d reason significantly and I couldn’t resist laying on it a few hours later that night just to get an idea of how comfortable it is and....IT’S SOOOO SOFT and comfy! (Mind you, I’m coming from years of twinXLs in dorm so I could be biased). The recommended wait time is 24-48hours so I decided not to actually sleep in it that night even though, again, it looked ready to go. Slept on it the following night and it’s been great so far. Obviously, I haven’t been sleeping on it for even a week yet so I’ll try to update in a few months, especially if there are any issues. As for the smell, it didn’t last too long. Then again, in addition to the open window I had a glad plugin with Gawain breeze scent I installed the previous day (which smells AMAZING btw). Hope this helped!

DO NOT BUY - FIBERGLASS EVERYWHERE FROM THE COVER!!!! RUINED EVERYTHING IN THE ROOM!!!
DO NOT BUY this! We've had 2 years, and I thought it was a good bed for the price. It will destroy your life! FIBERGLASS IS IN THE COVER!!! They use fiberglass instead of chemicals for flame retardent which is somehow legal. After buying this however my son threw up on the bed. It went down the side of the bed over the waterproof cover I had over the bed. I tried to take ZIPPABLE ZINUS cover off and it wouldn't unzip past halfway so we cut the cover a little to get the bed that was in sleeve out and washed cover and dried it. It states do not take cover off, but nothing else stated. Thought it just might hurt bed or something but what do you do right? Put cover back on (although it was partially cut on the underside of cover and went on with our lives. 6 MONTHS LATER and my youngest is have breathing issues, all of us are sick and I run across a news article on how several families had to get rid of everything in their room to rid the room of fiberglass. This cover probably can't contain the fiberglass either. It RUINED everything for us. We threw away everything in their room. $1500 later, 2 new beds, repainting room, replacing carpet and still not feeling 100% about it. DO NOT BUY FROM CHINA!! It's sad what is legal for manufacturers to do. I would have gladly had strong chemical smell over FIBERGLASS! The fiberglass is little particles as well as 1 inch long slivers. Really hard to see unless you look in the light and they shimmer. Feel bad as I never saw fiberglass until I looked and it WAS EVERYWHERE in the room! Filing formal complaint to BBB as they should have stated on the tag DO NOT REMOVE AS INSIDE COVER IS FIBERGLASS! I feel like a failure to my family that I couldn't protect them from this. I researched a ton before buying these beds. Live and learn from my mistake please and do not buy from ZINUS. I threw away my other son's bed that I never removed the cover from as well as our LUCID branded one in our RV that is also a fiberglass cover. We went with an american company that uses plants as flame retardent. ZINUS HURT MY KIDS! I will be joining class action lawsuit over this. If my kids have any long term effects from this so help me!
