Hill's Science Diet Adult 7+ Small Bites Dry Dog Food

My dog actually likes this kibble. I switched to this from the “fresh” dog food you buy in the refrigerator at grocery stores but read that particular brand caused liver issues/failure. My 12-year old Yorkie has had two blood tests since switching over this diet, and his labs always come back normal. I soak the kibble in water overnight, and feed it with fresh chicken breast.

I had to write a review because my dog is doing so well on the food. First, I'm VERY picky about dog food and usually get super high grade food and then supplement with home cooking. My dog is chubby and I could not get his weight managed. At my vet, I said 'just tell me what to feed him' because I'm so tired of slowly trying different brands, grain free, salmon or wild game...you get the picture. Vet said 'my old girl is on Science diet and she's doing great - get the senior formula for him and also complement with their wet food'. I did that approx 1 year ago, and my dog is now perfect weight and he loves the food. He's doing great and I did slowly go back to home made wet food (chicken and veggie soup) because the wet is soooo expensive for me. Anyways.....if you are like me torn with what to use, I may never go for the crazy expensive foods again. I am starting to realize they are marketed to human interests and maybe not all that great after all. Kudos to Hills. It's been a good ride so far.

I just what I ordered science diet is the best for dogs.

★★★★★ My 11-year-old Shih Tzu absolutely loves this food. The kibble size is perfect for him now that he's getting older, and he gets excited every time it's feeding time. I use an automatic pet feeder, so I fill the container with this food and it dispenses the exact amount twice a day. He already recognizes the sound of the feeder and comes running as soon as he hears it. I've reordered this food several times because he always eats it with no problem. If your dog is a small breed, especially an older one, I definitely recommend giving this a try. My little Shih Tzu has one message for all the other dogs: "Tell your humans this is the good stuff!"

Hills is sold at veterinary clinics so I decided to order it online. My dog eats it and I was fine. Then I learned about research regarding dog food. I tried a few different ones and found that my dog gobbles them up I can recommend Hills knowing that it is a nutritionally good. I chose a more expensive option elsewhere.

Great food for senior small breed dogs. The kibble is smaller and not as hard as other brands, making chewing easier. My Scout is picky but he eats this without any issues.

My dogs love this food. They are very picky dogs, they won't eat half the dog food I give them. But they will eat this every time.

My dog ate this from age 7 on and he lived to be 16 so I think its a quality dog food! He always seemed to enjoy it :)

We believe this helped our aging Shih Tzu with kidney disease last another year.

My dog had a history of urinary crystals. She refused to eat any of the medicated foods to help with this issue. I did some research and switched to this brand/type and it’s been four months and she just tested negative for urinary crystals. Since it’s linked to diet and balancing the pH levels, I think this food really helped. It was a great alternative for us. She also went on a kibble strike for months. And once we switched to this. She ate it no problem.
