Only got it, but have tried it out, well built, very good at receiving signals, dab radio, solar, wind up, rechargeable, emergency alarm, reading light and torch, aswell as charging your devices, all in one wee device, great wee piece of kit. I bought another one as a wee present for my daughter who loves the outdoors.

This radio is made with a sturdy material giving the feeling that it won't rot within 5 minutes of receipt: a very nice, as close to permanent as one can get, feel. The instructions are clear, lucid, easy to follow even on a bad day. The radio reception is fine, and I find DAB a much better choice than AM which is so often the alternative choice. FM works also of course. The radio is small, easily portable, but has a really good size rechargable battery which is permanently inaccessible; the solar panel will doubtless help in keeping the large battery charged up and space for 3 very small alkaline batteries will help any carry-over issue eg until the large battery is charged up again. The additional function of providing a facility to charge a smartphone from it is very useful. Given the quality of the product, it seems to me to be very reasonably priced. However, that said, I have been unable to find any guarantee.

I read all the various reviews , good and bad then decided to give this radio a try. After unpacking and reading instructions, I put radio with solar panel up into direct sunlight. This is English winter sunlight so not very bright. Radio battery immediately started charging, which was impressive. I then tried the wind up charger. And that worked too. The torch lights and reading light all worked well. Although I think these lights are unnecessary. I avoided using the alarm button ,which again I think isn’t necessary. Tuning the radio is a bit of a hassle, but once you have your favourite stations saved it’s pretty easy to use. DAB reception is good and far better than the radio it replaced. FM was fine too. I never tried the short wave so can’t comment. The sound quality is amazing, and can be turned down to a whisper for night time listening. The radio itself isn’t big , but not stupidly small either. All the buttons are a good size. Radio feels like good quality, however is definitely not water proof as water would get through speaker vent if it got wet. I used the radio for around two weeks and was really happy with it. It charged itself up each day ready for use in the evening. As the weather was very cloudy the radio didn’t fully charge, so I decided to put some triple AAA batteries in for back up. The instructions said the radio would switch over from solar battery to AAA automatically when solar battery was low. Unfortunately it didn’t, and just shut down when solar battery was low. There is no switch to this manually either. The solar battery would charge with an external charger, but I wanted it to work with all power options. Unfortunately this meant I had to return this lovely radio to Amazon. I really would have liked a replacement instead of a refund , but this isn’t an option. I wish the manufacturer would design another version of this radio , one without the torch , reading light , phone charger etc. I really wonder if all this extra stuff is causing the radio to be unreliable? I am still thinking of ordering a replacement as I liked it so much .

This is a great little DAB+/ FM radio and well worth the money, compact, easy to use with several charging options and when it is fully charged it will run a long time before it needs to be a recharged. This is perfect for travelling, camping and 100% reliable during power cuts and outages, a torch, reading light and alarm.

Great little radio. Ideal size for the garden. Will also take it travelling. Great sound and is better than expected. Charging is superb. DAB perfect. Really versatile radio.

Doesn’t hold its charge at all. I can wind this for 15 mins straight and I get less than ten seconds of radio. The solar doesn’t seem to do anything. I put real battery’s in it as a back up and they were dead within a few hours. Something is very wrong with this and it costs far too much for this to be acceptable

Good radio . Well made , produces excellent sound. Several wave bands. Arrived VERY quickly, in first class condition. Looks terrrific.

Lots of functions- light. Reading light. Good radio reception and sound quality. Shame about the solar panel which is a joke, despite been in full sun seems to add nothing to the battery so device needs plugging in every couple of days.

Kurz und knapp: das Radio erfüllt am besten, was man sich von einem Notfallradio wünscht. — auch zum Campen bestens geeignet. • der Akku hält extrem lange! Mit 5000 mAh weist er eine deutlich höhere Kapazität auf, als vergleichbare Modelle. Er entlädt sich auch nicht bei Nichtnutzung des Radios, wie ich das von anderen Modellen kenne. Im Notfall kann man es so aus der Ecke holen und hat auch nach Monaten der Nichtnutzung noch genug Kapazität um die Nachrichten abzuhören. Nichts ist nerviger, als wenn man beim Stromausfall das Radio vorholt und feststellen muss, dass sich der Akku entleert hat. Wenn der Akku doch mal leer sein sollte, verhelfen 2 min kurbeln zu gut 7 min Radio hören - zu Informationszwecken Gold wert. Das Solarpanel hat leider nicht so viel Leistung, aber zur Erhaltung der Ladung ist es sicher eine gute Unterstützung. Im Hochsommer, bei voller Sonneneinstrahlung konnte ich es allerdings noch nicht testen, da bringt es vielleicht mehr. Und wenn man noch 3 AAA Baterien auf Tasche hat, ist man sowieso safe. Die sichere Stromversorgung ist definitiv ein Kaufkriterium! • die Lampen sind erstaunlich hell. Die Leselampe ist mehr als ausreichend um auch den abendlichen Sitzplatz auszuleuchten. Zum Lesen reicht die 2. (dunklere) Lichtstufe. Die Frontlampe bringt einen auch im Stockdunkeln sicher zum Waschhaus. • die Klangqualität ist in Ordnung, eben so wie man es auch von den kleinen „Küchenradios“ kennt, die gerne mal in Gartenanlagen genutzt werden. Kein highend Sound aber auch nicht plärich. • der Empfang ist erstaunlich gut. Selbst im Keller, wo der Empfang normalerweise bescheiden ist, bekommt dieses Radio noch sauber einen Sender rein. • die Senderspeicherfunktion macht die Nutzung deutlich angenehmer, als bei den meisten kleinen Radios, wo man nur jedes Mal erneut das Frequenzband ablaufen kann. • DAB+ funktioniert einwandfrei und sollte insbesondere beim Notfallradio ein Kaufkriterium sein, da auf lange Sicht FM ja abgeschafft wird. • das Radio ist mit IPX4 bedingt wasserfest. Da würde ich mir mehr wünschen, jedoch ist erstaunlicherweise keines der Notfallradios, die ich gefunden habe, tatsächlich wasserdicht. Vor leichtem Regen ist es zumindest geschützt. Ob es einem wirklichen Regenschauer stand hält, habe ich noch nicht getestet, und werde ich wohl auch nicht, wenn es sich vermeiden lässt ;) Das waren die wesentlichen Kaufkriterien. Ich habe tatsächlich gerade ein zweites bestellt, das kommt dauerhaft in den Campingbus und mein erstes Modell bleibt in der Wohnung, für den Notfall und zur täglichen Benutzung im Badezimmer sowie auf dem Balkon.

After opening the box, I put 3 AAA batteries in the radio and switched it on to test its features. The built-in battery indicated 1/4 capacity. Without any charging the radio played for over 12 hours (of which 4 hours with the main flashlight on to fasten up the process of draining the battery). Only then the display showed "Battery low" and the power-LED started flashing green/red for some 20 minutes followed by flashing red. In this state most of the buttons become unresponsive (the POWER-button continued to have effect, but I could not switch off the flashlight). Shortly after that with no action from my part the LED turns green again and the battery indicator shows 2/4. The radio has now switched from the built-in rechargable battery to the 3 AAA batteries I installed at the start of the test and all is well again. The small speaker works fine for this kind of radio. The alarm works as expected as does the sleep timer. The user manual is reasonably well written. Setup and operation with 7 buttons (5 of which have a second function using long press) is fairly straightforward. The 3 buttons for the lights are on the right side of the radio and also work with the radio switched off. The flashlight and the reading light have HI and LO settings. The SOS-button starts an loud siren and flashes a red LED. I did not test the solar panel - a few square centimeters of solar panel cannot be expected to add much energy (as the manual admits). The dynamo-crank is a bit flimsy but it works (and enables you to use the unresponsive buttons in low battery conditions). The manual states cranking supplies 300..350 mA and the solar panel 30..50 mA. Compare this to small USB-chargers that typically deliver 1,000 mA. While recharging the power-LED is red. Charging from fully empty took some 10 hours before the power-LED turned green to indicate full charge. Given the price you should not expect a radio that withstands rough handling - handle it with some care, don't drop it and it will serve its purpose.

une radio FM/DAB d'excellent qualité tant au niveau de la conception que d'utilisation une excellente reception en DAB qui bascule automatiquement en FM si la reception n'est pas bonne , le fait de pouvoir la recharger par le panneau solaire intégré, par la manivelle permettent de l'avoir en toutes occasion ( atelier, jardin camping, etc... ) les lampes sont d'excellente qualité lumineuse, de surcroit fait office de " chargeur "pour le smartphone de reveil, et d'alerte sonore . vraiment le poste radio " baroudeur " que nous attendions depuis longtemps
