I generally buy welding supplies from TOPDC, and have come to trust them in their design and build quality. These 25 foot 1/0 gauge copper-clad aluminum (CCA) jumper cables are no different. High quality and high value in a jumper cable set. The wire is marked every foot, with distance, brand, and most importantly, cable size. The clamps are built with a copper clamp side which connects back to the connector, which itself is bolted on. The other side of the clamp is copper coated steel. There is a strap connecting both sides of the clamp. The clamp itself was about 47mm at the pivot, and the boots fits perfectly. I recently used a set with the same boots but 44mm at the pivot, and the boot sides overlapped oddly. These are bonded pair cables, but have enough free cable at both ends to reach odd negative connections. The smart connector module is nifty to have, eliminating accidental polarity swaps. Plus it shows the voltage, which is handy to have. I wish it showed amps as well, and was easier to read, but it performed as designed. This set will live in my commercial diesel van, but also used on commercial semis. I'm really impressed by the quality, even beyond what I've come to expect from TOPDC. The straps between clamp sides was a very nice touch. I do wish the carry bag was about 6 inches wider, or square. The material is very nice, and the cables fit, but it's a two person operation to get them back in the bag correctly. No points lost, but please TOPDC, make a larger bag. Highly recommended. The price is more than reasonable. The quality exceeds what you're going to find in most cable sets, and they work great!

Firstly, I need to state that these are super heavy duty jumper cables. They also come fitted with a SMART connector module alerting you if you accidentally swap polarity. The cables themselves are very thick and of the highest quality. These are going to be kept with my husband's Ford Excursion. He has no problem opening the clamps but I will tell you that they were a bit more difficult for myself, a 62-year-old woman. I can do it but I actually need two hands to do it, lol. This should not be a problem for most though. Hubby says that the clamps have good Jagged teeth for securing to both top post and side terminal batteries. He also really likes the 25 ft as it should be able to handle any reasonable scenario for jumping a vehicle. Not really sure what the little garden gloves are for? 😆Overall an excellent product and of the quality expected from TOP DC brand.

These jumper cables seem like a great heavy duty option based on my initial inspection. They are long enough to reach in almost any situation, which is a big plus, and the cables themselves are thick enough to handle virtually any load you’d realistically throw at them. I also like that it provides a voltage readout and even indicates if you’ve connected them backwards, which adds a nice layer of safety and convenience. The coating on the clamps feels high quality and durable, and even though the cables are clearly heavy duty, they’re still flexible and pliable so they aren’t a hassle to work with or store. One thing to note is that the conductor is copper coated aluminum instead of pure copper—at this thickness I don’t expect that to cause any real performance issues, but a pure copper setup would typically be more compact and take up a bit less space, although it would also cost more. Full transparency, I haven’t had to use them yet, but based on what I’m seeing so far I’m impressed and will update if I become aware of any problems.

These are heavy duty jumper cables. They appear to be well made. The clamps are strong. I like the led box that lets you know how juice you have in your battery. One photo shows the cables hooked up to my battery (the other ends are just on the ground). I did purposely reverse the plugs, which gave me a loud alert sound and the light turned solid red. The carry bag is fine, it holds the jumper cables but isn’t anything special. The gloves are cheap garden gloves. I’ve never used gloves when hooking up jumper cables, but they are there if you need them. I have not tried them to jump an actual dead battery. I will update this review if they don’t work correctly (which I highly doubt).
