Gentle Iron Supplement That’s Easy on the Stomach
I’ve tried several iron supplements in the past, but most of them left me feeling nauseous or caused other uncomfortable side effects. This one has been much easier for me to tolerate. It’s been a reliable addition to my daily routine, and I’m really happy with how well it’s worked for my needs.

best!!
I’ve struggled with low iron for years, and this supplement has been a game-changer! Unlike other iron supplements, it doesn’t upset my stomach or cause constipation. The liquid form is easy to take, and it has a mild, almost tasteless flavor. I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my energy levels since starting it. The only downside is the price, but considering how effective it is, I think it’s worth it. Highly recommend for anyone with iron deficiency!

The only supplement that worked!
After years of trying so many different iron supplements and having to get infusions, my dietitian recommended these. And thank GOODNESS she did! These didn’t trick! Finally I have perfect iron readings!

Easily absorbed
Since I started taking this iron, my iron reading has gone up and stayed steady. That hasn’t happened with other iron supplements I’ve used. My doctor has recommended I stay on this iron! Good product

Please lower cost
I like these but 30 capsules is too small. Would like at least 90 per bottle. The cost for only 30 is too high for me to keep taking them sadly.Edit: they now offer a 90 count bottle which is nice. Price is still very high however.

Great If Other Supplements Cause Constipation
I'm pregnant and was diagnosed with pregnancy-induced anemia. The various non-heme iron supplements I tried all caused distressing constipation. I tried taking tablets that melt under your tongue, hoping if they were mostly absorbed sublingually, enough wouldn't hit my digestive tract to cause constipation. No such luck! Additionally, the non-heme iron supplements I took were supposed to be gentle on the stomach and non-constipating; my doctor and midwife were surprised by the effect they had on me. The constipation was so terrible I decided I had to give up all iron supplements and simply eat an iron-rich diet. The stool size and hardness was detrimental to my body, and I was afraid the straining would hurt the baby. Stool softeners did nothing. It's terrible to be pregnant and have to choose anemia. Finally, I came across Proferrin, having read that heme sources of iron are non-constipating. I've been on it for a few weeks now, and am steadily increasing my dosage, with zero constipating effects. I finally have hope I can beat anemia before I give birth. I never write reviews, but as I don't believe I'm alone in my situation and didn't notice any of the other reviews talking about pregnancy and constipation, I thought I should leave this one. A representative from the manufacturer told me Proferrin was initially formulated with pregnant women in mind. I'm confident my next labs will show an increase in my blood levels. Best of luck to any of you out there struggling with something similar. Definitely give Proferrin a try.

Raised my Ferritin Levels
This is not cheap iron, but it works! I follow “The Iron Protocol” and have raised my ferritin level by more than 70 points. I’ll continue repurchasing because I’ve had good results without the face flushing that other heme-iron has given me.

Seems to be an okay supplement, but the price makes in unsustainable.
Heme Iron is great for absorption, and I have read that you don't necessarily need vitamin c with it for that purpose. However, Proferrin is extremely expensive. I finally found another heme iron brand for a similar dose with the same quantity (not sure I'm able to list the name, but it is here on Amazon and there aren't many other heme iron supplements with the same quantity/similar dose, so I hope that helps someone looking elsewhere..), for 60% of the price I'd been paying for Proferrin. I can't say for certain this was due to switching brands, but my iron levels did go up after the switch. Affordability is incredibly important in regards to items for healthcare, especially in our world today, so when I find a deal elsewhere from a reputable brand, I'm taking it.
