Amazing Entry-Level Interface - Compact, Clean Sound & Great Value
This is an incredible entry-level audio interface. It’s compact, easy to use, and delivers clean, high-quality audio for both recording and playback. The included Studio One software and extras make it a fantastic package for beginners or even experienced users needing a portable setup. Latency is low, and setup is straightforward. For the price, it’s hard to beat. Great value and very capable with excellent connectivity.

This budget audio interface does the job and very compact.
perfect and compact for my iPad music studio;I purchased an iPad hub with stand that has PD power input to support multiple devices including this audio box go, so I can carry it wherever I go. The audiobox interface connects my rechargeable guitar amplifier to my iPad, and I have subscription to Logic Pro DAW and downloaded some SWAM audio modeling for sax, clarinet and flute at a discount for iOS. I am using my Akai EWI 5000 usb midi plug to the usb hub stand. And the sound from the SWAM is very realistic, better than the builtin sounds in the AKAI ewi. I will be enjoying this for a long time, worth every penny I paid.

Solid and Portable Budget Interface
I bought this just for simple music playback through my studio monitors on my PC. I use a Presonus Quantum ES 4 on my mac for recording and production. My PC is just for office work and my old 2nd gen Focusrite finally died. So far, the latency is non existent, great headroom, nice small form factor design, software was a breeze to setup and get running. Overall, it's just the functionality I needed to stream music to my monitors. Noise level is great, can't hear a thing, even when turned to full, no hiss at all. Only complaint is how bright the power LED is on the front, but nothing some black gaff tape can't fix.

Better as a DAC than a ADC
Pro: Small and light (220g = 7.8 oz) Good headphone amp Plug & play with Windows Peak input level LED Power indicator LED ¼ headphone jack Balanced main outputs Includes a USB-A to USB-C cable Included DAW software Works fine at 5V & <0.5A Con: All plastic case Limited gain Sharp break on input gain control Power LED too bright I don’t give a product 5 stars unless I cannot see how it could be made better for its intended purpose. This audio interface is not bad, but could be better. The small size is definitely a plus, but the light weight is achieved by it being all plastic. I’d rather it had a metal case and weigh more. I appreciate the ¼” headphone jack since it’s much more reliable than a 3.5mm (1/8”) jack. I did not use the available DAW software download, but the fact it’s included must be considered a plus. When used as a stand-alone mic preamp, I found that it had limited gain even with a high output condenser microphone. The input gain control increases the level slowly until it’s almost fully CW, then the level and distortion jumps sharply. Once the Peak LED is lit, the distortion is audible. With no load, the P48 measured 47.6V. With a mic that draws 3 mA, the P48 dropped to 36.0 V. This unit draws less than 0.5 A at 5.0 V, so it will be able to be powered by any USB port that meets its spec. It’s a plus that it has a power LED, but it’s too bright; nothing a little piece of gaffer tape won’t fix. I’m going to use this mostly as a DAC so the mic input issues don’t matter to me so I’m happy with it. The price is pretty good for what it is.

Perfect as a travel interface
I just received this product two days ago and I am already extremely shocked and impressed by this thing. First major pro: the size. I knew going into purchasing this Presonus audio interface was going to be great for portability, but I can LITERALLY fit this thing into an incredibly small sweatpants pocket and take this interface with me anywhere. For size perspective, here is an image compared to this and my SSL2. While the SSL2 is capable of being a portable interface, I wanted something that could fit into a free personal item while flying. This is the perfect travel interface. Second major pro: The clarity of the preamp. Honestly compared to my SSL2, to my ears, this thing has a clearer sounding preamp with less coloration than the SSL2. While the SSL2's coloration (including the 4k button) works for some of my rap records, it doesn't work for every situation. Being able to fire up a second interface with a more neutral, clear sound, is a huge pro. Final major pro: The external features on the interface. At this price, it is impossible to find a great-sounding audio interface for travel purposes with an independent headphone volume knob, a mix knob to mix between zero-latency monitoring and computer playback, and a pair of quarter-inch outputs to link the audiobox go to studio monitors. However, this interface is not without its faults. First con: 50 decibel maximum gain: The max gain from the preamp on the audiobox go is 50 DB. That is nowhere near up to standard with 2022 audio interfaces. No way you can run any dynamic microphone without an inline preamp. I couldn't run my $20 dynamic behringer xm8500 without having to scream into it to achieve an appropriate level. Second con: Installing the software bundle. While the software bundle includes a ton of plugins to help get anyone started recording, the installation process with the bundle is terrible. It takes so long to install all of the free software you get with this interface. The build quality is all-plastic, but the knobs are easy to control similar to the SSL2 knobs. No metering is a minor con, as well as a quieter maximum volume output. The Presonus checks off all the boxes for me with a travel interface. Extreme portability, independent headphone volume knob, all the necessary external features to succeed as a travel AND studio interface, and clear preamps. I wouldn't recommend it for traveling podcasters or dynamic microphone users, but otherwise, this interface blows away its competition. It even competes with the SSL2 with its clear sounding preamp.

Great Minimal Interface
This is a great little interface! Very simple, ultra portable (non-applicable to myself), and plug-n-play is seemless. For now, my primary use for this is to power my Spark mic and have my audio monitors connect to my computer (previously using 1/4th to 3.5mm). Since the power is USB, I have it plugged into a USB hub with individual switches. When I sit down and toggle it on, it's very fast to connect, then I can just toggle it back off afterwards to save power. For my purpose, it's perfect. If I ever start recording again, I will post an update about that.

Not Suitable for Use around Radio Transmitters
A great compact size with everything that I needed to share a boom microphone with several radios in the ham radio shack. Good separation on the channels, excellent DAX function, clean phantom power, easy to adjust controls, but.... The plastic case is not shielded and whenever a radio transmits with more than 40 watts, the AudioBox Go audio outputs produce feedback with digital processed sound until the pot is closed. There is no RF interference when the cables are simply removed from the AudioBox Go and reconnected back to the original 48v phantom insertion unit. Yes, all equipment in the radio room is grounded to a common bus bar and tied to the structure ground. The RFI is only present when the AudioBox Go is inserted in the audio chain. Unfortunately, the AudioBox Go will not be able to be used around the transmitters and has been returned. This would have been a much different review, if only the AudioBox Go was housed in a shielded case.

Good quality
It works like a joy for online guitar classes (streaming mic and guitar simultaneously). The onboard mic preamp is pretty decent. The digital output works great too.

Awesome DAC!
For the money, this is a great little DAC Sound quality is excellent, great clarity. Build quality is solid - its light too. Its small and compact. Connectivity is basic, but covers what it should at this price point I have the Presonus Studio 24c, the Quantum ES2, and this AudioBox Go ... all 3 do exactly what you want The AudioBox Go is a terrific portable DAC, or entry point for your first desktop setup Highly recommended!

Great!!! Recommended
This Presonus audio box is a great audio interface. It works with mobile also flawlessly. Just plug and play. Pros: ● Easy to use, just plug and play. You can also use the presonus driver for more options. ● Bit rate is 96kHz, and bit depth is 24 bit. Which is great and industry standard. ● Design is attractive and small, which makes it easy to carry and store. I really like the design. ● Type c port makes it more compatible. ● Ports are also sufficient. Cons: ● Did not find any. Summary: I recommend this one if your are planning to buy an audio interface. Don't go below this budget as those are inferior quality compared to this one.
