Not Perfect but Good
We originally owned the Serta version of this same mattress with the "never flat" pump. This review is in comparison to that.We recently moved cross-country and decided our old bed was not worth relocating as it was past its prime. Knowing there would be a gap between the day we move in and the day we get a new bed we decided to get the "best" air mattress we could to bridge that time. Our first purchase was the Serta air mattress with the never flat pump and we used it in the time between the day we had our old mattress discarded and the day we moved; about a week. For reasons not worth mentioning we couldn't take the Serta with us for the move and needed to purchase a new mattress but the Serta would not arrive in time. The Serta was about the same all around to this mattress but I believe the never flat pump on it is far superior to the Insta-bed.Since moving and purchasing a new mattress we have had a month on the Insta-Bed due to supply chain constraints for our new Sleep Number. This review is after one month of daily use on the Insta-Bed.The Insta-Bed has more firmness settings than the Serta but in my experience there really is no difference between "Medium" and "Firm". "Plush" is far too soft for us but Firm felt too hard. Medium is really just Firm with a different name. Whatever. Got used to it.I don't believe the never-flat pump ever automatically engages. After a few days of use the mattress is notably less firm and requires manual inflation. It's not a terrible inconvenience but we paid a little extra for a feature and it would be nice if it worked. The Serta was obvious that it was engaging the pump to maintain pressure because you could audibly hear it every time you got up. Even if our dog got of the bed it would engage briefly.Overall not a bad experience but I wouldn't buy it again. I would get another Serta.

Never-flat pump noisy to me. Update: 4 months later material split and developed a hole!
I only just receive this one as a replacement for another similar air mattress that just got old and started springing a leak that was difficult to fix. I fixed that leak but only many tries and quite frankly in the processes gave up and decided it was time to replace it. But then tried again and fixed the old one. But for how long? Who knows. This one is almost exactly the same except for the never-flat pump and auto inflate/deflate pump which is awesome. Only trouble is it inflates to a far too stiff and firm matress then I prefer, even on the "plush" setting. That's easily fixed because I can just deflate to my taste, which is not likely anyone else's preference. But no big deal. But that means I can't use the maintainer never-flat feature. That would mean the maintainer pump would run until it reached the "plush" setting firmness what was already too firm for me.The other issue is, that maintainer never-flat pump is NOT silent. It's loud enough to disturb me and people say I can sleep thru anything. That's true but I guess it depends on what the sound is. The sound of that pump is a distraction from sleep to me. Perhaps if I was already asleep it wouldn't bother me, IDK. But even so as I said above, it would pump the bed up to past what firmness I like, even at the softest setting.Where I think the never-flat pump will come to be valuable to me is when the mattress ages and leaks more. All airbeds do leak, it's inevitable. Some minor through the material leaks with age will which are coming with use, will therefore be no so much of an issue. The never-flat feature will kick in. It remains for me to see if that pump will annoy me enough to wake me from a sound sleep. Of if it will annoy guests using it or not. But it's not "silent". Know that. Loud enough to matter? Depends on who you are because me, a sound sleeper, it did keep me from falling asleep. But good news, you can turn of the never-flat pump. And for the price that option, used of not, isn't costing much if at all extra.Update Mar 2023. Only 4 months of careful use and the material split developing a hole and I had to patch it. I have be extra careful with it. Didn't over-inflate. No sharp objects near it, certainly not on top. It just split. Waiting to see if Seller or Manufacturer will replace under 1 year warranty. PS: I did get used to the noise of the maintainer pump. Still very bummed out by this hole that appeared.

Never flat pump is loud and terrible due to design change
The media could not be loaded. These used to be great when they had the primary pump for inflating / deflating and a secondary pump for automatically filling at night if the air got low. But they have changed designs, their pictures are wrong (they show the two pump version) - they have eliminated the secondary pump completely and now rely on the primary pump running slower to fill at night which equates to a NOISY pump multiple times at night. It is not quiet at all and goes for a long time, it would wake just about anyone up. Very bad design, try and find one with two pumps otherwise stay away. I posted a video to show the noise of the never flat pump

Easy to inflate and does not loose air while sleeping.
We used this bed because we were moving and our furniture had not arrived yet so we slept on this air bed a few days until the furniture came. Has a built in pump so inflates and deflates fast. Also another quite pump that goes on if for some reason the bed starts to loose air. Thias is a wonderful product. We love it.Bertha
