Review: Poppy Red - The color is absolutely beautiful, I can't deny that. I'm happy with how this product looks. However, I can't personally excuse how much this product bleeds color. It stains everything, my stainless steel sink was red after rinsing it out. My shower is stained from it. Every time I shower (even using cool water to preserve the color and lessen bleeding) it looks like I've committed a serious crime. Even when dry this dye rubs on my skin and I can run a baby wipe over it and it's just covered with dye. My pillow case is stained from sleeping with DRY hair. I'm no stranger to direct dyes. I've used multiple brands. I've never had one that bleeds this badly, even with me using color sealer after coloring, using cool water, avoiding sulfates, and every other trick there is to preserve direct dye. The color, wonderful. Absolutely it is so pretty. Unfortunately I don't feel it's worth how much the color bleeds and rubs off. UPDATED REVIEW - the color rubbing off is annoying and even with a color sealer this dye will stain your tub. BUT the color lasts so long. The poppy red lasted over 6 months for me and no other direct dye does that. I've since used Flamingo Pink (picture with the mask,put over an faded orange base) and it's 3 months in and going strong. If you don't mind ruining a few pillow cases (and possibly your tub) I changed my mind and would recommend this dye. Update 2: This hair dye is my go to now. It's lasts for months and months every time I use it and it fades prettily too. Last two photos are from fresh to faded MONTHS later. Serious lasting power.
Review: Add h2O for perfect pink! - Not the best label instructions; I feel it works best with a few drops of water per swatch! Makes it actually smooth against the hair as due should be instead of globs of goo by itself. When diluting it with water, it creates a nice rich magenta hue dye. Add more water to make a nice pastel pink hue. It mixes well with other dyes, but still overpowers the color blending. Perfect mixture for pink-heads out there! It also keeps the hair safer, my hair’s been silky smooth and doesn’t need as frequent of washes. It’s REALLY pigmented, so be extra careful handling if any drips on counters, floors. And careful with washing as it stains the bathtub temporarily for a week. Has lasted me more than 6 months! I had to reapply a few times the first couple months after washes to get a consistent tone, but again, a little goes a long way with added water!

**Q: What conditioner do i need to mix with this hair dye ?**
A: I mix with any white paraben free sulfate free conditioner. I mix 1:1 and there is no change in the vibrancy & boldness of the color or how long the color lasts. I was worried it would lighten the color but it doesn't on a 1:1 mix. I also don't bleach the medium brown hair my daughter's have prior to dying it and the colors are amazing. We've used flamingo pink, red rose, plum, purple, blue, aqua & green. All have turned out far better than I imagined and lasted way longer than I imagined they would.

**Q: How long does it last, days wise?**
A: It depends on the color and how often you wash your hair.
In my own experience the dark blues stay the longest theyll fade to a pastel blue around 20ish washes and stay that way, the purples do the same around 15ish washes and bright pink/turquoise fade between 15-20 washes but with those two ive noticed sometimes they hang on forever and sometimes they fade fast depending on the color you put them on top of, if your hairs been freshly bleached and your putting it on a really light blonde they stay much longer (the same goes for all the colors) but unlike the other colors if your just doing a touch up and adding it over your old color it fades much faster.
All of the lighter colors lagoon blue and the light pink fade fast, maybe 10-15 washes and they fade to a sortof ashy pastel version of the color.
I will say though ive been using punky color for about a decade and its my favorite dye because unlike most dyes (manicpanic for example) it doesnt fade into gross coppers or greens, it just slowely gets lighter with every wash. Which is nice because it starts really vibrant and pretty but eventually will fade to an equally pretty soft pastel so its like getting a dozen colors for the price of one lol and of all the other dyes ive tried this one lasts longest, smells nicest, and doesnt damage my hair (the bleach does though unfortunately haha)

**Q: Is this dye vegan?**
A: It says it is vegan in both the product listing and in the product description.

**Q: I was just wondering if this would do any good on hair that has been bleached twice so it has a copperish color in it still im going for the platinum**
A: It will certainly condition it a bit, give it a bit of a gloss... but it's not going to be able to lighten a copper color into platinum. It's not going to strip any color out at all, what it does is give you a very sheer coat of grayish-purple, just right for dulling down a bright bleached blond into a silvery platinum, but I think you're going to have to strip the remaining color out with bleach. Make sure you bleach it long enough to lighten it past that baby chicken yellow stage if you really want platinum. If you've already bleached twice and are still seeing copper you may want to get some help from a stylist to achieve platinum without burning your hair into breakage. If you are determined to do it again on your own, I will tell you that I have very dark hair myself and have had tremendous success with a boxed bleach called "Born Blonde", you really just need to leave it on past that baby chicken yellow stage, and then use the toner.

### ⭐⭐⭐ Great color but so much transfer

It’s a great color but be prepared to dye everything you wear for the first week. I have dyed my pillow, my sheets, my neck, my face, and my clothes with this product. There is a lot of transfer in the first week until the dye begins to fade out. It’s quite annoying to wake up every morning with a red neck (lol) so be prepared to wash every day! Also if you are planning to swim out go into the steam room/sauna…. Just don’t!!
