8342 RA Rosin Flux Paste

I'm really happy that I made this purchase. This product is top of the line and leaves a very clean work area when you do soldering with it. I purchased this because I'd run out of my regular brand so I decided to give this one a try and it actually is better than the one that I used to use. I would recommend this to anyone who does any soldering with PCB boards. Make sure you do have a clean flux cleaner.

First time , but it works really clean and nice

Great flux works perfect for fpv builds.

The flux works really, REALLY well - as expected of MG Chemicals, but the way the syringe is put together is kind of annoying, since the plunger part keeps falling out.

I love this stuff for desoldering through hole components. The synthetic and no clean fluxes on the market just aren’t penetrative enough when mixing unleaded with leaded for through hole desoldering work. This is the only stuff I trust that won’t have me overheating the PCB. Synthetic stuff is great for surface mount but you just can’t beat real Rosin flux for through hole! It does have the downside of having to clean it much more thoroughly but it’s worth it to not be battling different heat settings for different types of solder.

Once I opened the container, the smell told me all I need to know. Perfect quality! I was going to give up on my soldering Iron tip as I couldn't clean the oxidized at all. Tried different method, unsuccessful. This paste cleand it in a matter of seconds. Although it's not good for soldering tips, but sometimes I have to use it. Just keep in mind to keep your soldering iron tip covered with tin to prevent it from corrosion.

this is a must have product if your doing soldering. the rosin flux in solder line is not enough for most things even properly cleaned solder pads will benefit greatly from some more flux. this may not look like a lot but I have made hundreds of connections and still have most of it left. pro tip wear gloves this stuff is messy,sticky and does wash off your hands very easily with hand soap. though dish soap takes it off pretty easily. use this stuff outside and with a fan blowing over your work as flux is toxic and builds up in your system. having a headache for days was not fun.

I have used this product for a couple years and have zero issues with the way it works, so I just ordered another bottle. I was shocked when I opened it to find that the bottle is less than half full. I guess you pay by weight (50g), but for $13, why not just fill it, or use a smaller bottle so that the flux is easier to get to (the walls of the bottle could be 30% to 40% shorter).

Cela fait déjà presque un an que j'utilise ce produit et j'ai l'impression d'avoir à peine ouvert le pot. Le seul inconvénient est qu'il n'est pas très facile à utiliser. J'essaie de garder à disposition un petit morceau de bois ou de plastique fin pour en prendre un peu et déposer sur la partie à souder ou alors je trempe le fil directement dedans.

Como estoy empezando y no tengo mucha idea me informé sobre pastas y flux y me pareció que además de cumplir la función que tiene, era importante el tema de la salud. Con esto buscaba algo que me diera seguridad en lo que a toxicidad y salud se refiere y esta pasta cumple los protocolos pertinentes. Además, tras los primeros usos me parece que facilita bastante el trabajo sobre todo con estaño sin plomo, se nota mucho. Espero que os sea útil.

Makes a messy job of soldering. Especially on BGA chip when roving old flux. Only good when using sidler brain to remove all traces of old solder from solder pads. Otherwise it's the worst thing I've used.
