Large tweezer tongs that work well.
They're large tweezers. Imagine simple tweezers like the ones for plucking hair, but just blown up many times larger. It's sturdy enough to grip relatively heavy stuff like a decent sized steak, but it's somewhat nimble such that you can handle delicate vegetables, gyoza, egg rolls w/o damaging/ripping them apart. Having a good sized opening and good resistance (not too flimsy/light, yet also not too heavy/major force needed) lends itself to having a good enough feel for somewhat delicate tasks. Sure, it won't do well carrying something very large/heavy like a full rack of pork ribs or bunch of beef ribs, but that's what more heavy duty tongs are for (though tongs aren't so good for delicate tasks). It can be done, but it's a bit large & unwieldy for plating flowers or micro greens in a very exacting arrangement. Something like small tweezers (like the ones surgeons use) would be much better, but tiny plating tweezers can't lift anything of any significance. Like mentioned in other reviews, it looks like it's 2 pieces stuck together rather than 1 piece (I have another slightly smaller tweezer tongs that look like 1 piece). I can't speak about it's durability, as I've only had it a short time, but I can see how long term use, abuse, bad conditions, etc could lead it to splitting. At least in the short time I've had it, it's held together well. Not sure if many people think about or mention this, but this is way better than using chopsticks. Much faster, much easier to use, all around better dexterity. Before anyone goes on some rant about race, being a culture less oaf, etc., I myself am an East Asian person that is very much adept and at ease with using various types of chopsticks for different purposes, whether it be cooking, eating, hair, stabbing, weapons, skewering, stirring, picking up, dowel, cleaning, etc. Picking up single grains of rice w/ chopsticks is hardly unusual for me (I'm not the type to just shovel food from the bowl into my mouth like many that claim they know how to use chopsticks, but really truly aren't that good at it). For just about any kitchen/cooking as well as eating purpose, tweezer tongs work much better than cooking chopsticks. I think very few people can lift heavy steaks, fry gyoza & egg rolls, and arrange micro greens with the same dexterity & ease with cooking chopsticks compared to tweezer tongs. Sure, tweezer food has a bad rep for being bourgie frou frou pretentiousness, but that doesn't mean you yourself have to be pretentious and vapid. It's a useful tool that just gets associated with something pompous & highfaluting.

Wonderful - get one!
I can't believe I've joined the "tweezer brigade", but these really are a revolution for home-cooking. No, these are not for putting fru-fru garnish on your food (the offset tweezers are supposedly better for garnishing anyways). They are extensions of your fingers for anything that is too small/delicate for tongs. I'd almost say toss the tongs. Need to flip some cut up veggies or meat in the pan? Use the tweezers. Need to fish a sliver of garlic skin out of your aioli (garlic skin is so pesky)? Tweezers. Grab sumpn out a jar? Tweezers. Did a piece of peel or eggshell fall where it shouldn't (into my salad, darnit!)? Tweezers Flip a sausage in a pan without it rolling all over the place? Tweezers. Etc, etc, basically anything that you'd do with your fingers if it weren't too hot/greasy/slippery/narrow opening, etc. And yes, I've got tongs (too big for most of what I mentioned above, plus crushes the delicate stuff), and I've got cooking chopsticks (OK, pain to clean). These tweezers beat both, with the exception of very high heat applications (my grill on full blast, or high-BTU wok cooking) where you want something longer (long tongs, or my long chopsticks). That's it, get these, you won't regret it!

When having the best tool for the job is important...
Like many others, I had no idea these "large tweezers" would be useful in the kitchen. They really are irreplaceable for picking up delicate or small items. Better than tongs at many jobs because they are fine tipped and slender, and I find them easy to use. Have you ever wondered how they swirl the noodles into such a beautiful symmetrical heap in restaurants? Try these. The stainless steel cleans up beautifully, and stores using little space in a utensil jar or drawer. The price has dropped since I bought mine, so I will be getting one for my best friend, who also likes to cook, but don't tell them and spoil the surprise...

Made in China
The quality is good. They work as expected. However, they're made in China which is not listed anywhere in the description.

Perfect
I use this in my saltwater aquarium. I think it's less prone to rusting than other tongs?

Great product at the price. Not certain I'd use them for turning a roast though. I purchased them for plating and still life photography work.

El producto es de buena calidad, lo utilicé para jardinería, para poder alcanzar hojas secas entre las plantas con difícil acceso.

Got it for using while grilling. Used it the same day we got it. Loved it.
