The first puzzle I purchased, one of the musical pieces didn’t work. Amazon replaced it immediately!

Perfect for a small child.

You can never go wrong with a Melissa & Doug product. Our 1 1/2 year toddler enjoys this puzzle and the familiar songs that play on it.

Note it doesn’t work in a room with low light! They should really mention this on the site and on the back of the toy. The item it’s self is not as well made as I hoped. It arrived loose on a small part on the top ,the paper was not stuck to the wood. I had to stick it with super glue. Other then that it’s a nice concept and my son likes it.

I got this for my 2 year old grand daughter and she just loves this puzzle. It was so worth the price and the products of Melissa and Doug are great. It is sturdy and easy to handle. The pieces fit so well in the puzzle board. The knobs to the pieces are a good size and shape for little hands to grip and hold on to. She just played with it over and over again. The board itself is nice and thick and not to heavy to where she could not carry it herself. The print of the animals are nicely done and the cut out shape there were no dents or sharp edges to them, they were sanded nicely and smooth. I am glad I got this for her.

This puzzle was very well made. The music keeps my two-year-old engaged for quite some time.

As a long time Melissa & Doug customer, I’m very disappointed in this product. What’s good: the puzzle seems sturdy and pieces fit correctly. The red pegs are secure and don’t appear easily removed. (Which is good for a toddler). What’s bad: the puzzle is supposed to sing Old McDonald however the audio is intermittent. The sensors on the back of each piece don’t engage the music. There is no rhyme or reason when the music plays, which negates the learning opportunity for cause/effect. Example-the music will play when pieces are removed and we’ve also experienced the music play when no one is touching it and all pieces are in place. I’ll note that it is not due to dead batteries, I tried a total of 6, from two new packages. Overall, I’m disappointed in this purchase and will certainly consider a different brand now that my grandson is transitioning to learning toys.
