but seriously, this thing is beefy and beautiful. not ridiculous like an anodized monster hook, but seriously solid functional goodness. matches all the other shackles I have. get the anti theft one and forget about your worries. Don’t skimp out on good recovery gear. Get this.

had this for about a month or a little over a month looks very nice happy with the way it fit. Today I notice that the shackle is missing and that really blows. F$#^ing thieves. Anyway wonder if Gear America sells just a single shackle.

Looks fantastic, at a good price, doesn't rattle around if you use rubber washers not included with tow hook, great weight and built very sturdy, fits perfectly

After waiting several months to come back in stock, I was very disappointed. The lock has a nice rubber hood to keep the key hole free of debris and washers to keep it from banging around. Only problem is the lock is too short! I drive a Tacoma with a 2” hitch, so it should certainly be long enough. NOPE! Terrible design flaw. There should also be plastic/ rubber washers to keep the shackle from swinging all over the place. NOPE! Paint also scratched off before I even finished putting it in the receiver. This set up was much more expensive than the others, and it was definitely not worth the extra money!!!

I bought the 2inch version. It's not like the picture. It only has 2 hole mounting locations. Not 5 like the picture. I returned and bought another, Same thing. Plus, the holes in the vertical position, don't match up with the holes on my truck receiver. For almost $100 and from a Gear America product, I expected more.

Started out with the mega shackle loved it however is not quit as big as I I wanted . So I upgraded for the Uber shackle hitch, to match my Uber shackles on my Ford F350 . Have not towed or pulled anything yet , looks to be super heavy duty though. Price was not bad for how good it looks to be built. Lifetime warranty is great to have too.they sell out very fast so get your right away!
