A friend of mine has an ultrasonic cleaner for fuel injectors, but doesn't have any ultrasonic cleaning fluid. Can this be used to clean them?

I have used this solution for cleaning my prescription eyeglasses. While I have no idea if this solution will clean fuel injectors it is safe for jewelry and glasses. I would give it a try.

The solution is mostly used in ultrasonic cleaners to give the best result. A standard statement is that an ultrasonic cleaner is not recommended for soft stones. Pearl is a soft stone. Our experience is that if you just do a quick and gentle cleaning and the stones have no fractures or defects then most of the times it's fine. You should excise your own discretion. Test a piece which you are wiling to try fist, and watch it carefully.

Can I clean a Leatherman multitool with this solution?

Yeah. Easily. Just run it a few times. I use it to clean my BCG. LOL. WORKS WELL.

What about turquoise ?

A turquoise is a soft stone much like an opal. I would check with a professional jeweler before you cleaning it in the ultrasonic cleaner just to be safe. I know opals are cleaned best with oil to bring out the fire in the stone. My thoughts would be to try oil on the turquoise until you check with a professional jeweler.
