My husband and I were looking for a sharply contrasted black, white and red baby gym for our son. Young babies can't always see/ focus very well and the sharp edges and contrasting colors do catch their attention. Everything we saw in store was the complete opposite of what we wanted and that was extremely disappointing.I saw tons of reviews saying that the color on this mat bleeds in the washer turning the mat into a black, pink and red mat and that made me postpone ordering it. Once I finally did order it I put off washing it for fear that the colors would bleed. Then one day my dog marked the rug, foam mat and baby gym all in one quick shot and I had to wash it. The color didn't bleed, I used cold water and a bit of oxy clean to get out the urine. The black did fade in the drier from a less BLACK black, to a more average black but the mat still looks great.Also I loved the little hanging toys that came with the gym. They were adorable and my son loved them. The singing panda and the squeaky caterpillar thing were favorites for awhile. The arms that hold the gym arms to the mat are now connected by short ties instead of the buttons I had read about in older reviews. I felt that should be included in this review because no parent wants to buy a choking hazard for their child.

This was a successful item for the sprinkle as it was fresh and clean. The one for the older child was well used so a new one was appreciated.

This is the tummy time activity gym to trump them all! Not only is it the first colors your LO sees, but it is also contrast!! My daughter will stare past all of the fun toys to the criss cross arches that hold it up and babble away!Additionally, the flower is a mirror; the catapiller squeaks and crinkles; the ball jingles; theres the awesome teething toy. AND the creepy but oh so cute panda sings a catchy version of twinkle, twinkle little star!!! And, again, can we talk about the fun contrast on all of these fun toys!Then we have creepy clown guy and I have no idea what is going on, on the mat, but my 3 1/2 mo old daughter loves it! You will not be disappointed with all this has going on!

This is a great learning tool for infants while they work their motor skills and hand eye coordination!

I was scared to wash it when I first got it after reading some if the reviews saying it bleeds so I have been using a blanket for my daughter to lay on top of when she's in it. I will have to hope it doesn't bleed when I finally wash it so that she can use it for tummy time. It was pretty expensive for what you're getting but it's still kind of hard to find black and white contrast baby stuff so I splurged. Setting it up is pretty simple but I feel like it could definitely have been made better. It's pretty flimsy and I think the loops to connect the rods may be too big allowing it to be wobbly. I also think it's ok to use for my newborn but the toys hang too low and if your baby has enough muscle control then they would be able to pull the toys (and the rods they hang from) down onto them with no problem!

I got this for my grandson to use when he visits us. The padding is appropriate, easy to clean, washable and quick to dry if you decide not to put it in the dryer. The hanging toys attracts baby's early stage attraction. The construction is sturdy enough but flexible enough that I cannot imagine the baby to come in the danger of injury.In fact, my son spent hours under this coloring gym when he was a baby. That was one of my driving motivation of purchasing this toy.Enjoy the time with the baby!

Baby loves it and it’s easy to travel with. My 3 month old wasn’t a fan of tummy time but she would lay on this mat and swing her legs back and forth to kick the toys. We moved the rings around to bring th toys lower so she could reach them and It was such a good thing for her to practice holding the ball and smack things around. she really likes the colors compared to other toys and mats we have for her. The black faded a little after a few washes, and it would be great if the sleeves could come off the arches to be washed as well.

This is very soft, cushy, vibrantly colored play-mat. The arches can be tied onto the mat, so you can move it easily in one piece and also to make them stable, and also allow you to clean the mat. The rings separate, so you can move the toys around, or let the little one play with them in their hands. I would purchase again.
