COOKKING - Taiyaki Japanese Fish-shaped Pancake Double Pan, Made in Korea

Very pleased with the quality of the pan. Used butter to prevent sticking and worked great. Use instant pancake batter w/ little extra sugar and only filled 1/2 way before filling and then filled remainder. Made white chocolate filling, chocolate chip filling, brown sugar filing. (Just sprinkled some in.) First try and wife loved them. Clean up was easy, pans do separate to make it easier. Lots of fun!

I ordered the CookKing Taiyaki Pan because I love making both sweet and savory waffles, and I wanted a pan that will allow me to put more 'stuffing' inside than a traditional waffle maker. This pan does exactly that! I do wish that the taiyaki were larger so I could stuff them more, but this pan is perfect for making two medium sized taiyaki. It arrived the day after I placed my order, and after pre-washing it I used it that evening. While I have not yet tried the recipe printed on the box, I have made taiyaki using a boxed pancake/waffle mix and stuffed with peanut butter and honey. YUM! You have to be careful not to put too much filling, particularly if it is something sugary (like honey) because it can ooze out and burn on the stovetop. I have a smooth ceramic stovetop, and the burnt honey took a while to get clean. That was the only time I had an ooze problem. I also made some savory taiyaki using a plain batter stuffed with cheese and pesto. My family love the cute fish shape and I plan to make more variations with stuffings like applesauce, chocolate, banana, taco meat and many others. The Taiyaki Pan is very easy to clean. I didn't realize it would disassemble into two pieces, which was a pleasant surprise; you simply open it beyond 180 degrees and slide the two halves in opposite directions. After washing it is easy to reassemble in the same manner. I can't wait to see how many more kinds of taiyaki I can make with this great little pan! I may also order another one that makes the open-mouthed fish that is then easily filled with a variety of ingredients. This is my honest and unbiased opinion of this product. I may receive a rebate from the manufacturer as part of the CookKing Awareness Program, but a positive review was not solicited from me.

As someone who loves bungeoppang (fish-shaped pastry), this product seems perfect. The size is just right too. At first, I was doubtful because I have an electric oven at home whether it would work, but it works very well. Even if you have a gas oven, there's no need to worry. I'm using it with satisfaction.

CUTE MINI TAIYAKI! I already have the generic Taiyaki pan... when I saw this pan went for it! Used a batter recipe found online, the packaging has a batter recipe. After using it I can say that I am very satisfied with my purchase! And my niece and nephew loves the mini fishies! Highly recommend if you have little ones or if you are looking for a more bit sized Taiyaki! Pros/Usage: - Non-stick, I used a paper towel dipped in oil to "prime" the pan. Grease the pan very lightly, I noticed that the pattern shows very well if you don't over do the oil. (See photo for comparison) - Heats up pretty evenly, cooked Mini Taiyakis came out with uniform yummy golden color. - Easy to clean. I hand wash the pan. - Fits my gas stove burner. Also a little heavier compared to my regular Taiyaki pan. - Keep the heat to low-medium low depending on your stove, I have a gas stove. - Fill the hole 1/3 of the way, add filling then top with batter then flip over. - It takes about 1-1.5 minutes to cook each side of the Mini Taiyaki. Cons/Usage: - The pan only opens to 90 degrees not 180 degrees like your typical Taiyaki pans. Be careful when you use it the top might close and burn you. - One of the pins that secures the two halves came off when it arrived. Popped it back in and worked perfectly.

I 💜 this Taiyaki pan. It’s easy to use and makes great treats. I’ve now made 5 different flavors and the most notable thing about it is how fun this is to do with the kids. I didn’t want an electric Taiyaki pan because I’ve got no room for more plug in appliances. Plus I’ve been disappointed in “treat making machines” in the past. This pan works so well on my gas stove. After my first batch I couldn’t stop. We must have made Taiyaki Fish Waffles 5 days in a row! I made red bean filling, vanilla bean cheesy filling, and even a matcha cream cheese filling. The waffle mixture recipe on the box is the perfect consistency for this pan (pre-made mix wasn’t as good) so use that recipe they provide and you can’t go wrong. Also follow the CookKing instructions about keeping the heat medium. It yields great results and keeps you from harming the non stick coating. I recommend this product and seller. I wish I took pics of my perfect batches - the one I attached was my first batch. After that batch I got the hang of it and flipped the pan twice to heat both sides before pouring and followed the instructions to the letter. I got consistent coloring on both sides of the waffle when I did that.

These fish are so cute and small- perfect for appetizers for snacks. I use ready made pancake mix and dab in some Nutella, peanut butter. The pan holds well the heat and it does take a few tries to figure out the right amount of batter. Well made and sturdier than I had thought it would be. I place some of these fish on a cheese platter and they look so cute. Great for cheese board presentations, small dessert garnishes. I buy quality ice cream and make smoothie drinks and place it on top snuggled between whip cream and guest think it looks fancy. Even a simple scoop of ice cream with chocolate drizzle on the place and one of these cuties next to it and it levels up the plate. You can make a few batches of these and they freeze will. The design is deep and you can see all the details on the fish.

I tried about three other taiyaki makers before this one, and none of them had deep enough molds—the details, especially the eyes, never came out right. This pan is completely different. The details are crisp, and the recipe on the box makes wonderfully nostalgic, traditional taiyaki. It’s also compact, which I love — easy to store, yet it still makes two full-size taiyaki. I’m honestly so happy with this purchase!

I bought this after my coworker brought me some and I wanted to try filling them myself! The pan is nice and light, it feels like it will hold up, and it’s easy to hand wash. The value of this pan is very nice but the recipe/directions on the box resulted in some gummy taiyaki. It is likely user error but I found that if I just use bisquick according to the package directions that they come out great and look great too!

Bought this for making Taiyaki for a Japanese food dinner party. The fish are a great size, the non-stick coating worked well, though I lightly coated it with oil on my first batch. The Taiyaki turned out perfectly. Easy to use for a first time user. We've used it a few times since, just for family brunch with pancake batter. It's a worthy purchase. Delivery was quick, too.

I use the product to make Taiyaki and it was perfect. It feels well made, is easy to clean and does not take up that much space. I used recipes from online though it does come with its own recipe but I have not tried it. Make sure to use the lowest heat so the Taiyaki cooks all the way trough.
