why does it say "mild", is this different than the usual moxa stick?

The medicinal herbs that makes up the moxa stick have a milder blend of herbs, thus de smell is not that raw.

Normally, it is mostly smoke free. Not like the pot-smelling green leaf stuff, which saturates your whole house. But is it very difficult to get it lit, and to keep it going...

Does this include a "moxa roll stick extinguisher"?

No, you must buy it separately or you can place it into a deep small cup to let it stop burning.

I'm pleased

Flimsy package box but it arrived in perfect shape. I'm submitting my review for the moxa sticks, not the packaging. Sticks burn evenly, slowly and with a mild, modest smell. Smoke is unavoidable but not intolerable, at least for me. Cuts to size as needed with a sharp edge blade.

These seem to be good moxa sticks. I like that the ash doesn’t fall off easily so it gives some security for your skin. I love that they are large and come in a large quantity. These will last me a while for sure.
