When I’m not using the tray, I just leave the attachments on. My only complaints. It’s a little high, but my little can still grab inside. Thankfully, it is ok with us because my kiddo is 42 inches tall and almost 5 years old, so the height is ok for him. He won’t be able to rest his arms on it but he is able to see what he is picking up. I am not sure why the tray has to be so high. A very poor design. It does fit the Thermos stainless steele 12 ounce straw cup.
