They lasted a VERY VERY VERY LONG time!
I wanted to give these shoes a fair review now that I am about to throw them away and move on to a new pair of the same shoe. First off, I gave these shoes a 5 star, but they are NOT perfect shoes. But the pros seriously outweigh the cons. and the cons are an easy fix. The pictures are of the shoes after they are basically worn out. I can get a few more months out of them but the comfort is gone and they are falling apart. I wore these shoes 5 to 6 days a week 10 hours a day on a construction job site since the day I bought them. I have been wearing them for exactly 3 years!! I have always worn DC skate shoes or other work tennis shoes like Merrill and Chinook. I have never had a shoe last more than 1 year until I bought these Oboz. The Pros: * Lasted 3 years * Comfortable right out of the box * True to size * Super durable rubber sole * A nice looking, stylish, sleek shoe The Cons: * The heels on the inside of the shoes started wearing out within 8 to 10 months. You can see how blown out they are in the picture. the composite heel cap started breaking down and chipping away after about 1 1/2 years. I wore them with blown out heels for the past 1 1/2 years with little issues. THE FIX: Self adhesive heel protectors will stop the wear on the heel fabric of the inside of the shoe, but does not sacrifice comfort. * Arch support was a little high. THE FIX: Replaced insoles with Timberland anti fatigue insoles. * The tongue falls to the outside of the shoe. THE FIX: A lot of shoes do this, I drill a small hole in the tongue and run a small zip tie thru the tongue and the lace hole to keep the tongue from slipping

Best shoes ever!
Love these shoes!! I bought a second pair (my new rule when I find shoes I love). Great looking for around town and perfect for hiking. Have hiked extensively with them in Glacier National Park, MT and Big Bend National Park, TX. All day comfort, no blisters, no fatigue. Will keep buying them as long as they keep as long they keep making them…please don’t stop making these Oboz!!

Narrow toe box
Purchased this shoe because of the price and the way it looks. Also, Oboz is known for making quality products. First of all I purchased this shoe in wide width. Even with that said in my opinion this shoe is still narrow. It is very comfortable to wear but I wish manufacturers would make shoe widths standard. It's really a pain to not know how a shoe will fit because everyone is doing their own thing. Quality seems to be great and hopefully these will last for a few months. I do not wear them everyday as I need to take a break because of the width issue. I normally do not require a wide shoe but this toe box is narrow. I purchased these to wear thru the winter months while doing errands or taking the dog for a walk so not abusing them. I want to say I would purchase them again but because of sizing concerns I would have to pass. Don't get me wrong they are a great show, just not 100% for me. Hope this helps.

PERFECT!
My husband is in love with these shoes! He now has 2 pair! The fit was spot on, they are lightweight and have helped a lot with his arch pain and plantar fasciitis. Very comfortable with great support!

I buy these again and again.
These look great, even for a date night, but are comfortable and functional for rougher outings out hiking. When I buy a fresh pair they stay clean as long as possible for work and evenings out on the town, while my previous pair moves into hiking duty. They hold up incredibly well, and I only buy a new pair about once a year.

A comfortable shoe for city walking
I have been limited to walking around my neighborhood for the last six months because of limitations on running after shoulder repair surgery. I was wearing various high quality running shoes for my walks but my legs didn't do well. So, there is a difference between walking and running. I wanted a comfortable "hiking" shoe that also didn't look like I just came off the trail. The Oboz shoe seemed to fit the bill. I have never worn any hiking shoe other than Merrell but my wife always raved about her Oboz so I thought I would try them. I have been delighted with the shoe so far and have been walking 3-5 miles per day for the last couple of months. The quality seems good and the shoes were comfortable from day one. The 11.5W (my regular size) fits perfectly. I don't know long term how they will fare with, but there is really nothing negative to say at this point. I find it interesting in the reviews that many noticed that the tongue slips to the outside of the foot, because I have been noticing the same. I am considering buying a second pair in a different color as a hedge against the company deciding to update the shoe, as companies seem to do on a regular basis, often not for the better. Anyway, I recommend this shoe, at least for walking around city streets and sidewalks.

Cool looking high quality walking shoes
Bought these shoes in advance of a trip to Prague on which I knew I’d be doing a lot of walking. Break them in before walking long distances. A little stiff at first. Once that’s done, these are awesome shoes! I averaged about 20k a day in the Czech Republic and walk 6 or 7 miles a day here in the USA. One of the best pairs of shoes I’ve ever had.

poor quality
The shoes tore in the most unexpected place three months later. The length of the laces is such that you can weave fishing nets. A very stupid shoe model, but very comfortable.
