This is an amazing chess set... Pros: - The craftsmanship is excellent and hand-made-coloring is very good. - Pieces are beautiful (no ugly faces), and each piece is easily identified. - Weighting of pieces are moderate, but they are well balanced and stay steady. - It is an elegant display set. Cons: - Not much solid, and would need careful use. - The material might survive minor hit or fall on the board... I would mark the pieces as fragile. Additional Note: I would suggest board size with square minimum of 4cm and my recommendation is board size with 5cm square. Due to decorative pieces, you would need not to go to the minimum size, to leave enough space for display and movements of pieces.

This is just an incredible chess set. The pieces are easily distinguishable and the detailing is excellent. So happy l pulled the trigger on these, awesome to look at let alone play with. Very well packaged in a cardboard box with a cutout foam insert that protects every piece. Really appreciate this as many chess sets ignore the storage, let alone provide amazing protection. These are resin pieces so they are lighter and easier to tip over than cast, but you will never get these detailed pieces in cast at this price point. Bottom line this chess set allows you to dress your game up at a very modest cost, the figures are great looking and we'll detailed. Already watching this seller's other items just to buy sets for display.

Good quality. The pieces have vibrant color.

The pieces are really pretty. A little hard to tell the castles apart (black verse white), but the rest of the pieces are different enough. Would have been better if the band on the bottom of the pieces was painted. They are very top heavy, which does make them fall over pretty easily.

Love Them! Magnificent Figures! Just remember it's red & blue and not black & white. Would, however, like the rooks to be more easily identified. The figures are well made, resilient, tough. They are nice enough to have set out in a den or game room. They look as good, if not better than, sets twice their price and if you are partial to red and blue, all the better. It will now be easier for my wife and I to now play chess since our other chess set is Yankees and Confederates and both of us only want to serve under General Robert E. Lee. The set is very nice but it does not come with its own board hence you'll have purchase one with the correct size of squares -- probably 2" squares though 1 and 3/4" would probably work. The vendor (seller) was easy to deal with, his delivery was on time, and packaging was very secure, protecting the contents very well. I Recommend both the product and seller.

The medieval pieces are wonderful with high quality in design and finishing. Excellent buying.

These are very light weight. They looked like they'd have some left, but they feel like nothing when you pick them up. The Bishops, king, and queen all look quite a bit alike, I had to look at them carefully to figure out which was which. The queen isn't even a queen.

My 17 yo son made a chessboard in class at school so we were looking for a unique set of chessmen to go with it. When we found these we knew this was what we were looking for! When they came in the mail, and we saw them in person, we were so pleased. They were exactly as described and just look awesome with his board. Very happy with this set and would purchase again.

This chess men set was bought for a birthday gift for my son. He loves playing chess and is enjoying his new gift . The set is a good size and very colourful and interesting to look at . Very pleased with the set and with the Amazon service and delivery 👍
