My clock set itself automatically when connected to the main input hard wire phone line.

I have read all of the reviews on this cord and it seems that the COILED LENGHT is between 18inches to 4 foot. what is it???

I think the description is misleading... I think the total length of the cord is 12 feet. But coiled up it is only about 4 feet when it starts to stretch.. It's perfect for the phone we use it for and it takes a beating everyday from an 8 year old.. But definitely not a 12 foot coiled cord...
