Review: Very strong - This stuff works great, often the bond I stronger than the wood itself. This does seem a little slower to dry than other wood glues, however I will take the slightly longer dry time for the increased strength. The bottle is a nice design that keeps the lid clean, so I don’t have to unclog the cap every time I want to use it.
Review: It's not LooseBond, that's for sure! - Hey man, it's Titebond III. It's the best all-around wood glue you can find. It has twice the working time as anything else. Of course, the reason for that is that it contains more water than others, which is why it has such a low viscosity compared to the rest. I'd say it pours like 10/30 motor oil, maybe slightly thicker. Personally, I like this characteristic, but I could see why some might not. If you want a honey pour, you'll like TB Original or Gorilla Glue better. Apparently, TBIII is susceptible to slippage if it is under a constant heavy load, but I've never had an issue with that. Of the three TB products, TBIII is the strongest, despite what some YT reviews might say. The main reason this is my go-to woodworking glue, is because it dries more of a wood-like color in case you miss some blowout. The first time I tried it, it was because I was told it is stainable. It is only stainable before it dries and with water-based stain. Not exactly what I meant when looking for a stainable wood glue. But I'm glad I found it anyway. I've used it for years now. It's a good price and 16oz is enough to last the hobbyist a year's worth of projects. Clarity, size, and hardness... all good. That last sentence was to 100% the review checklist. That's just the kind of guy I am.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Since this glue "cleans up with water" (yet its water proof?), if i use this in joints, on an outdoor bench, willrain affect the glue?**
A: Cleanup with water but when it dries get out the sandpaper. Have used it in a laminated bench that has set out three years summer thru winter.

**Q: i'm planning to make an arched laminate wood beam about 14 foot long 2 x 6, is this glue strong enough to hold the beam together?**
A: I realize this is an old question, but...some overly complex answers there! Yes this is the strongest of the titebond 1,2, or 3. So its strong enough for sure, but still not the best option. As one of the other answers points out titebond 3 has a short open time, so I'd recommend going with a glue that has a longer open time so have time to do adjusting/clamping/shaping.... Also look for a glue that has low 'creep' to reduce spring back, and use as many laminations as you can. I'd recommend either an epoxy, such as SystemThree or a urea resin such as Unibond 800 for structural glue-lams. Both have rigid glue lines, are gap filling, and have long open-times.

**Q: Is it clear when it dries?**
A: Dried Film Light Brown

**Q: Is this actually a gallon & a pint bottle of TB3 as shown in the picture or is this listing for 1 or 2 single pint bottle(s) or a single qt or gal?**
A: This is for a single bottle of glue for twice as much as you can purchase at the store. The label next to the price with $amount/unit is incorrect. You do not get 2, just one. I was duped by this and returned for refund and purchased at my local HW store for $8.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product
*by J***D on January 19, 2026*

Holds strong, and has a good working time. I found that I have more than enough time to make minor tweaks to the alignment - my guess is 4-5 minutes before it starts to feel “stuck”. I keep my glue ups in clamps for 24 hours so dry time is sometime less than that lol. The glues spreads easily with a popsicle stick or glue roller. The cap is super easy to use and clean. Overall this is a great buy if you need a waterproof glue.
