Does this really work ?

I am not sure what you mean by does it work. The pieces ate durable and my granddaughter enjoys pretending that she had made me some dessert.

No. These are smaller than real. About half the size of real or you could say they are minis.

How many pieces are in the set?

Fine little set

Kiddo seems to like it, nice to have a tray included. Felt obligated to throw out the teeny tiny pieces before giving to my 2 yo. Otherwise she really enjoys it.
