I had seen someone online use one and decided to get this plus the press. It is nice to have both tools. The little cylinder really peels the garlic cloves. Peeling garlic before this tool was such a problem. Review: Heavy duty. - We love garlic and use it a lot when we cook. This Stainless Steel Kitchen Garlic Press is perfect for us. You use the garlic peeler tube to quickly peel the garlic. Then place the garlic cloves inside the crusher and squeeze. It crushes the garlic and works perfectly. You can quickly crush the garlic for fresh garlic daily. Made from heavy stainless steel to last a long time.

Doesn't work. Garlic comes out the sides.

Almost
An old, and I mean DECADES old, garlic press eventually broke, so we needed a replacement... This one seemed to do what the other one had done so faithfully for so many years, so without much ado, I ordered it. It came quickly like all other things. It's smooth, it's neat. It's just as easy to use as the old one... Almost. In this one, the plunger (the part that pushes on the garlic towards the grate) is just a bit undersized, just a touch less than it needs to be to keep the garlic from squeezing back, so in order to press clove completely, you'll need to scrape and fold the pieces that ooze from under the plunger, back into the cup for another squeeze. Messy. Yet, it there is pretty much no alternative. So we live with this one.

Rusted in less than a year
Functionally, this worked well and I liked that it was all one part and there weren't multiple parts to clean. However, I bought it last April and tossed it in the trash this May. It started rusting pretty early on and just got to the point where it was too much and I didn't feel like I should use it anymore. Guess I'll go with stainless steel from now on.

Easy to use good quality
It’s my first time to buy it. I have to say it saved much time. It is very easy to use. Just put the garlic into the head. And then you will get what u want. Comparing with the others, it is cheaper and has better quality. I will recommend it to my friend.

It's such a great little helper
I wish I had bought one of these earlier! It's such a great little helper! I use it to juice lemon as well as mincing garlic. When I need only a small amount of lemon juice, I would cut a square piece and press it with this little thing and the juice would come out right away. It's just so handy and easy to clean--it's dishwasher safe.

Good not great
It's pretty good. I didnt get the little garlic roller that was supposed to come with it which is not the end of the world but don't advertise something that's not included. Press itself works pretty good, but there's probably better. Garlic can easily smoosh through the top instead of through the holes. Semi rough machine work makes cleaning a bit tricker than it has to be but not bad. Grip inserts will come out if it gets too warm. No dishwashers! Feels pretty sturdy in your hand at least. Overall it's good, not great. For the price it's a decent buy
