I purchased the 64GB (2x32 GB) DDR4 3600 CL 18 about 2-3 weeks ago to upgrade from a set of 32GB (2x16 GB) DDR4 4000 CL 18 and so far, the new RAM has been performing exceptionally. In my previous configuration, my PC was hitting a bottleneck due to the limited amount of memory available. During gaming sessions, the graphics would stutter and freeze—this went on for a year before I decided enough was enough and pulled the trigger for more RAM. I did some research to see what was on the market before deciding to purchase the G.SKILL Trident Z RGB Series again. My previous sticks were from the same series but after a year of use, they started to cause my PC to BSOD multiple times. I filed a warranty claim with G.SKILL and completed the RMA request through their exceptional customer service. The memory sticks are covered by a limited lifetime warranty and G.SKILL honored it without asking excessive questions unlike many other companies. The new sticks I received continued to work fine until I decided to upgrade with my current purchase. So far, I haven't noticed any issues with the new RAM. My games and other daily tasks are operating noticeably smoother with lower latency and the stutters/frame freezes completely disappearing. As far as the RGB goes, I usually keep it white through G.SKILL's lighting control software. The LED's stay reliably lit and I haven't noticed any discoloration over time with any of the RAM from G.SKILL. I've attached some images of how they look within my setup to this review as well. Considering the amount of frustration I felt before, I can say with confidence that this RAM was money well spent.

A nice aesthetic RGB compliment to the build while being practical and reliable as it shines within a recycled PC case I refurbished with a black stained wood bezel I made since the original was smashed in a move. I've included pictures of the project case make over using scraps destined for the landfill but not this PC I named Woodstock. Thanks Gskill for your contribution of these modules.

Others have commented on the quality of the RAM itself, so I won't be focusing on that other than to say: it works perfectly for my needs. But, dang is it hard to physically install! I bought 2 sticks to go with the 2 I already had, and trying to install these was a literal pain. The heatsinks are thin metal and protrude above the plastic casing of the RGB lights, which makes applying enough pressure to them in order to click into the motherboard actually a bit painful. The metal isn't sharp, so you won't bleed for these, but it definitely left a significant impression in my skin. You need to apply even pressure to either side of the RAM stick to get it to click in, and as you can see from the photos that is exactly where the metal heatsink protrudes upwards. Maybe just installing 2 sticks in alternate slots is easier, but going for a full 4 is bound to cause discomfort. It's a really cool looking design, but if you don't have calloused thumbs it can definitely be a bit painful to apply the right amount of pressure. I thought for several tries that somehow, someway, it was all just misaligned. Nope. After gritting my teeth and finally giving it the ol' college try, they clicked right into place and I promptly cried like a little baby for my poor widdle thumbsies (not really, but it was very uncomfortable). So just be aware, they look cool, they function as advertised, but the practical application of them into a motherboard is unpleasant.

I bought these well over a year ago when they were around $70. They perform fantastic and the lights are quality. I’ve put them through plenty of abuse and I haven’t noticed a difference since I first built my pc. That said, $250 is insane price but if you must buy ram today these are a solid choice.
