This works very will with at CPAP machine. If you snore and don't use a machine, please check with your doctor. You may have sleep apnea.This strap holds my mouth shut and fits like a glove. It is the most comfortable strap I have used in 10+ years. I can hardly feel it. The back strap keeps it from sliding off my head.

This thing is total garbage. Began stretching out of shape the second night. After 2 weeks I had to pull the head strap so far that the velcro had nothing it could grip to.My primary complaint is not the design. It is actually one of the best designs for keeping the chin pulled up, without the top of the chin strap slipping down your forehead. My complaint is with the choice and quality of materials, and poor/incomplete sewing (I purchased two of these, one each from different manufacturers, both here on AMZ. Both were equally cheaply and poorly made, and lasted no more than 2 weeks each).I've had sleep apnea for 17 years, and still prefer a CPAP over the surgery, which means wearing a mask, and in my case, still having to use the chin strap to keep my mouth closed. I've tried every product currently offered on AMZ (many purchased thru my health insurance company's DME vendor), and only one is truly worthy of recommendation (not this one, of course). I don't remember the model at the moment (I will find it and edit this post later), but if you look at my other recent reviews you will find it. Best of all, it was only 1 or 2 dollars more than this garbage.

If you order this through Amazon fulfillment, as I had done, you may or may not get the real thing. For my first order, made early August 2014, I received what I believe is the real LOCARED chin strap because the white LOCARED logo you can see on the back of the head in the photo of this item was on the first chin strap I'd received. I was sooooooo happy with the sleep improvement (I use CPAP with nasal pillows and needed to stop mouth breathing while sleeping on my back) that I'd decided to order a second strap so that I would have two to rotate for cleaning purposes. I placed my second order for this item through Amazon Fulfillment less than a month after I'd purchased the first, but the second one came from a different seller for some reason, even though Amazon fulfilled the order. I really don't have a good understanding about Amazon Fulfillment, because I was expecting to receive the exact same item, yet I did not, as follows:COMPARISON-1st one: Was the real thing, exactly as pictured, including the white LOCARED logo imprinted directly on the item, just like you can see the white logo on the back in the photo of this item.2nd one: By contrast, the second one sent to me did NOT even have a logo on it.1st one: The first one sent to me was made of a smooth, black, comfortable and superior material (I don't know what it's called but reminds me of a top quality lycra) with perfect elasticity, making the item truly a one-size-fits-all.2nd one: By comparison, the second one sent to me was made of a low quality fuzzy black material that had next to no elasticity, rendering it useless if the purchaser did not have a head sized just right for it.1st one: 5 STARS *****2nd one: 0 stars, thumbs downIn conclusion, if you receive the real item, bearing the LOCARED logo imprinted directly on the strap as shown in the photo, you will be happy with the performance of this chin strap. If the item you receive does not have the LOCARED logo imprinted directly on the strap, you have a cheap know-off and will not be happy with it at all. Return it for a refund. I did get a refund and free shipping to return the inferior strap.

I bought this in the hope of being able to continue using a nasal pillow mask for my CPAP; the increased pressure was cauing my mouth to open during th enight and air to flow.The Locared was very comfortable, but unfortunately it did not work for what I needed.

This didnt work for me, maybe it works for you. I didnt want to rate this too low, because I understand that there are multiple reasons for snoring, and what works for some may not work for others. This product was not awful to wear... though you look like an idiot. It actually made my snoring much worse. (I have an app that records it for my own benefit). The second night I wore it I tore it off in the middle of the night half asleep half awake. When I woke up I saw that the first half of my nights sleep had recorded really bad snoring, and the second half was just bad. So between it being less comfortable than i'd like, not useful to me, and looking as dumb as I did... I gave it two stars.

I've tried about 6 different chin straps to keep my mouth closed when sleeping, because I use a CPAP. I can't vouch for their anti-snoring effectiveness, however, all of those I've tried before this brand fall apart, lost elasticity very quickly, or simply didn't work. Although the material doesn't "breathe" well, this brand provides the best fit and durability of all those I've tried. Consequently, I've ordered a few from different sources and will throw the others away. Even these seem to lose elasticity, so I imagine having to put on more velcro soon, something the manufacturer should consider doing to boost sales.

I had great hopes for this product as it seems I couldn't find any other way to stop my snoring that is louder than the outdoor woods.I was very happy when package arrived and couldn't wait until nightfall. I been wearing every night from the day that it arrived. I decided to wash it this past Wednesday 09/09/15 and when I took it out the dryer this is what I got. The inseam came apart and not I'm upset because it didn't state not to wash or your product will fall apart. I'm about to try and contact Amazo or the company for a refund or a replacement. My Niece said it didn't stop me from snoring but it did cut down on the loudness of the snoring. So all in all the product isn't 100 % proof to alleviate your snoring and definitely not washer safe. My suggestion, wash by hand.

does not work for my husband. He tried it a few times with no luck.

The strap should be wider at the chin with a sack shape so as to stay put while sleeping.

It was too tight and pulled my lower jaw open rather than keeping it closed. The material had a chemical odour which couldn't be washed out. The head gear was hot to wear.

bought this item for my husband as he is a snorer but does not have sleep apnea, we have tried the nose strips but they end up on his cheek or pillow and we didn't have much luck. This is very comfortable and works well.Would definitely recommend.
