Works well
Works really well with even trade size paperback books. I didn't try it with a hard cover book, but it works nicely if you don't want to hold the book open with your hands or you want to use it on the treadmill

Pick your color - place the order!
I wish I had known about this sooner. Most of my books are massive and I get tired of holding them open - the one for this review is well over 600 pages. I donโt like electronic readers, I like an actual book! This has been a game changer. In my video you will see the pages come out easy and upon turning the page, if you use two hands and gently place the page under the arm there is no damage. I only used one hand due to recording and was able to do so just fine with no damage. Two photos show the device holding the book open by just the pages and another by the panels. It holds well both ways; that says a lot due to how large the book is. I find the FlipKlip looks easy, because it truly is simplistic. It has arms that hold open when setting up, with a strong spring load that adjusts effortlessly and holds well. Super simple, and versatile. A great American made product worth the money.

Small Device Helps to Read Books
This 3-pack is for 3 books so I let my wife borrow one. She doesn't let "borrow" stop her from making it her own device. It's a bit hard on my arthritic fingers, but it certainly helps me hold the book when reading in bed. I think if it was a bit larger it might work better for thicker books, but that would have to be determined. As a gift it fits well into any reader's holiday sock and provide hours of page-organized reading. The center section holds a spring which helps 4 arms stay in position, which works well. The longer arms hold the back firmly and the shorter arms hold the pages down.

The Flipclip is Great for Readers
The FlipClip is a remarkable device, light-weight, perfect holding books open and leaving hands free. Easy to turn pages by raising one or the other of the front clips. It's particularly useful for someone like me, who consults multiple books at once. I initially bought 3 Flipclips and gave one to my husband. Then I bought another package for myself and also as gifts for other book lovers. It should also work with magazines to leave hands free for those working on the treadmill, elliptical machine, etc. Such a simple device, light enough to take on your travels. Highly recommended!

How did I ever manage w/out these?
I have a REALLY old piano (which I play every nite) & many very old piano books. This gadget came in real handy to keep my large, thick but falling apart piano books open to the right page! ( You would think they would realize that all music books should be made w/pages like a spiral notebook; so they stay open-but many don't !) So, finally- no more struggling to keep my books open while I play-yay! & as an added bonus, they don't 'chew up' the tops of the pages ( like the music clips I have been using for all these years). Readjusting them to slide the page under when you move onto the next 1 isnโt any more hassle then repositioning the music clips has been & totally worth it; since now these actually keep the book open properly (instead of just barely keeping a few pages under control)-big improvement! I also found a metal stand to keep the more dilapidated books from tumbling off my piano ledge( I just slid the base under the front of my piano) ! Highly recommend both products.

Unhelpful for my needs
These weren't suitable for the purpose I needed them for. I would have kept them but couldn't.

An essential tool for readers
An ingenious tool, the FlipKlip ideally solves the issue that every reader of a physical book faces: How to keep the damn book open to the page youโre on andโmost important of allโkeep the page in place. A gust of breeze or a fanโs burst of air or a blowing A/C vent can knock a page over. Or, as I needed, a physical book not held in place is useless on a treadmill. The FlipKlip fixes these issues, with its snapping mechanism keeping the open pages firmly in place. I just used the FlipKlip on a 639-page book (Mircea Cartarescuโs amazing novel, SOLENOID) with no problem. Some readers might object to how tight the FlipKlip holds down pages, how (in order to turn a page) you have to pull the right-side page down off the right clip and then lift the left clip to finish turning the page. I found this action was just a matter of adjusting to a new way of turning pages: It made the act somehow more deliberate, more of a ritual. It even made you more aware that you were turning a page and making progress, making you more conscious that you were in the ACT of reading. FlipKlip makes reading easier on one hand, but also more physical on the other. A genius invention.

Very useful while being easy to use
I got these on a whim and I am very glad that I came across these when looking for a book holder. These are compact and easily hold my books open to alleviate any strain on my own hands while trying to do the same thing. These also allow me to open a book out on a table while I ready without fear that the book would close and I'd lose my page. They feel well made and as though they'll last a long time. I hope that's the case because I really enjoy them.

super recomm
As a book lover that hates having to put down her book to do other stuff, this. is. great! Really holds! Not amazing when you have to pass the page but for big books it also takes away the strain from keeping it open! Doesn't damage the book either!

Brilliant Do the job
The holder is robust, and sturdy enough to clip onto a book. Easy to lift arms to move the pages. Great accessory if reading in bed. Makes it easier to hold. as the holder takes the weight of the book

Useful Idea, But Not Worth the Price
The FlipKlip works as advertised for holding a book open and can make reading more comfortable. However, I bought it mainly for reading while running on a treadmill, and I still found it difficult to flip pages, even at an easy pace. The product is functional, but I don't think it offers enough benefit to justify the price. It's a decent accessory, but I expected more for what it costs.
