I used the hose and fittings with a rubber coupler (not included) to complete the dust extraction system on my new miter saw. It's a perfect fit. Totally recommended it.

Identical to the original hose that we lost and comes with enough different attachment ends it should fit any larger Shop-Vac known to man (even our 16 year old Vac). Pricey, but it's made to fit all Shop-Vacs and it beats making multiple purchases to find an aftermarket one that actually fits.

Longer than original. Not too flexible

I used to tell myself my old narrow hose was fine. It's everything I needed and nothing more. It performed great and left me satisfied after the job was done. Boy, how wrong I was. A bigger, thicker hose is always better. I don't have to fiddle with the tip anymore to try and get things to flow and I can handle much bigger jobs with ease. Get a bigger hose. You won't regret it.

This was a perfect fit for my very old shop vac. I wanted a replacement hose that was like the original and this one is it. The hose sizes and types available on Amazon are so varied I wasn’t sure it would fit. I also didn’t want one that adapts down to a 1.5” hose. So, if you measure the inside dimension of the vacuum inlet or outlet on your Shop Vac and it measures 2-1/4”, and you want the hose diameter the same as the original, then this is the one you want. The hose did come in with a kink in the middle, resulting from being put in a box, but I heated it up with a household hair dryer (high setting for about 45 seconds on each side) at the kink, and the kink disappeared. One end has a coupling and the other end doesn’t. So there are two couplings included for you to put on, depending on the type of connection your shop vac has. Takes two seconds to install the coupling, very easy.

The item itself works well on my 2.5" friction fit craftsmen vac. The instructions have a lot to be desired. To start, the pictures on the outside of the box imply you will get three fittings. However you only get two (which is enough). They should rework the wording/artwork it make it clear that the pictures on the box indicate what the hose can connect to and are not indicative of what is inside the box. Inside, you get one fitting that is loosely tossed in with the hose along with a sealed plastic bag that has another fitting, the locking clip and the instructions This lead me to believe that the loose fitting should have been paired with the third fitting (remember the outside artwork?) and I had received a previously returned product. (It didn't help that the first box I got had obviously been opened and re-taped shut with non standard tape). The instructions themselves have pictures to "help" you figure out how to assemble the fitting on the hose (depending on what you need), but they reuse the pictures in different order. i.e. frictions fit use 1,2,3....locking fit use 6,7,3,4. Have a removable diverter? Try 7,8,3,1,5 etc. I'd suggest they use a slightly larger sheet of paper with the pictures needed listed under each fitting type. Maybe I missed it somewhere, there should also be an exact listing on the instructions sheet indicating what is inside the box (Hose, 2 end fitting, locking clip). In regards to the hose itself...it's a foot longer than the standard 7' hose that came with the craftsmen and is slightly thinner material which allows it to kink easier. I don't think that will be a huge problem for however. The friction fit on my old hose ran the length of the fitting (approx. 2 1/2"), on this hose the friction surface is only about 1" deep then the plastic is inset. Not sure why they did that as it reduces the "tightness" of the friction. Time will tell whether that becomes an issue of it pulling out.

Shop-Vac tiene un gran producto como lo es la aspiradora PO11-500 y es muy complicado encontrar algunas refacciones. Pude hacer que embone la manguera en mi aspiradora pero es muy pesado el tubo y tuve que comprar una manguera genérica de otra marca para tener agilidad para el aspirado. Ojalá publiquen de forma clara los números de parte de las refacciones. Evitará este tipo de compras.
