I am an adult, and I bought these for myself, because rhythm sticks, especially the ribbed ones, make such cool sounds. Well I have a friend with a blind kid, she's 11, but she doesn't do much with music. She heard the sticks and how when you hit them in different places you get a different sound, so I gave them to her and I am pretty much going to let her keep them. She is having so much fun with the sticks. She hit them together, she knocked on the chair, she beat on her bed, we had to tell her not to bang on the desk, so yeah, I am not asking for my sticks back, they are hers now. I can buy more.Review Update: I reviewed these sticks when I bought them a few weeks ago, they are wonderful sticks, but I have noted that the red paint rubs off onto whatever surface you decide to bang on. Just get a rag and some soap, the red will come off.
