I'd been looking to get a new keyboard now for some time and had read reviews, seen YouTube demos, compared specs etc etc before settling on the Yamaha EW425. To say it has blown me away is an understatement. My old Yamaha was a model down from this and a few years old and the difference is incredible. Many of the voice samples are new and/or improved (and there are many more of them too), the keyboard extends an extra octave with increased polyphony and improved touch response. for a beginner there are demo tunes, auto play etc. For the more advanced player you can alter and shape voices to suite, customise rhythms and backings, add samples and there are a few "effects" in there should you want those. For around £400 this is unbeatable . Highly recommended .

GREAT KEY BOARD NOT FOR ME

Big, well made, impressive, sounds great. Incredible value for money. Very highly recommended. (note that the keys are fixed action and do not simulate real piano keys.

Brilliant

Keyboard appears to be incredible, but the Yamaha website is the worst I have ever come across, 65 years old looking to play and learn music and was drawn to the Yamaha PSR EW 425 which includes 3 month free trial of Flowkey which is in description and flyer in French and English within packaging. Signed up to Yamaha account but it then ask to register product again, click link asked to sign in again it then locks me out. I think I have emailed Yamaha but cannot confirm it’s actually gone tried web chat absolutely no help the whole experience given me a really bad impression of Yamaha. Website does not function cannot confirm email sent via customer contact page actually got sent, chat page hopelessTo get from initial registration to writing this review 4 hours have passed I am now totally frustrated and seriously considering return of product. Which in all honesty I would prefer to keep, I hope Yamaha read this review and respond to me direct. Amazon amazing as always.

This is my first keyboard and the sounds and quality of build are amazing. Had it a week and used daily. A pleasure to learn on. Did tons of research before purchasing. Son is a recording engineer in a music studio and is very impressed too.

Ich hatte mir das PSR-EW425 als Ersatz für mein zu schwer gewordenes CP5 geholt und war zunächst sehr glücklich über seine "tragbare Handlichkeit" bei gleichzeitig überraschend guten Klang- und Spieleigenschaften. Dafür, dass es nur gerade mal knapp 20% des Preises meines früheren CP5 gekostet hatte, war die gebotene Leistung und Qualität absolut gandios und für meine damaligen Ansprüche im Rahmen unserer frisch gegründeten "Rentnerband" vollkommen ausreichend. Sobald unsere Ansprüche an Polyphonie, Multisplitting und freie Soundgestaltung stiegen, kam das PSR-EW425 dann aber leider doch an seine Grenzen. Hier muss man klar einräumen, dass es sich ausdrücklich nur an reine Hobby- und Hausmusiker richtet, denen maximal 2 - 3 parallele Sounds in max. 2 Tastaturbereichen und eine schlichten - aber dennoch gut gemachte! - Begleitautomatik reichen. Nach gut einem Jahr haben wir uns daher wieder getrennt, aber tatsächlich muss ich sagen, dass mir diese Begleitautomatik bei meinem jetzigen - erheblich vielseitigeren, dafür aber auch wieder erheblich teureren - Keyboard manchmal fehlt, denn damit und dank dem Mikrofoneingang ließen sich quick & dirty einfache Demos in wirklich guter Qualität direkt auf einen Stick aufnehmen. Wie gesagt: Als Heimkeyboard absolut empfehlenswert, und dafür kann es wahrscheinlich schon erheblich mehr, als die meisten überhaupt nutzen werden.

i love everything abt this but the problem is it doesn’t include its charger nor batteries so beware
