I drink exclusively Earl Grey tea, and I have a couple of cups a day, at least. I like my tea black and bitter, like my heart, and Teapigs Strong Earl Grey fits the bill. The bags are a good quality so you don't get stray loose leaves in the bottom of your cup. It's much like Harney & Sons, but a bit stronger.

I subscribed to this after enjoying my first order. The second box though, held uneven quality. Tea Pigs does offer a very pleasant aroma with both their Earl Grey teas. And the flavor can be excellent.But I ran into a few cups in this Strong version that were hard to finish because of the soapy taste! The 1st cup, I actually tossed out, thinking it had not been rinsed well before use; 2nd cup tasted just the same!

I found this barely stronger than Twinnings which I find far too weak. Even though it says Strong in the title I did not find it as strong as many other Earl Grey versions I have tried...this is not a keeper for me. The aroma is nice when opening the package but the actual drink when prepared left me flat.

Smells beautiful, in the classic triangular bags, whole leaves, once they rehydrate the entire bag is FULL of tea. Yes I have brewed a second cup, suitable for drinking from one tea bag. But really- the flavor is just excellent. Strong, I like it that way, and tasty. Highly recommend.

The flavor is decent, but this tea is by no means “strong flavored”. Perhaps by “strong” the makers are referring to the caffeine level?
