Not a vault, but good for keeping guns out in open.
I am rounding up, but this review is more like 3 stars for this. The safe itself is decent for the price, but with enough time someone can definitely break into it. I bolted mine in an area where it would be hard to try to get to it for added security. By all means, this is NOT a vault.I ended up doing some research and found out you can silent the keypad by holding down the 4th button. You can also set an alarm after you close the lid by holding the 1st button. The alarm will sound if the case is hit or shaken.Now the reason why I gave it 3 stars is because the lock mechanism is... Ehhh. I mean it does its job, but it is very lightweight. Also, do not over tighten the 2 screws that hold the electronics. When the lock gets forced too much forward, the actual latch mechanism will bind in the front metal case causing the lock not to open. So now you will have a case that will not open when locked. The way I ended up opening it is by putting the key in the lock and holding it turned, then I had to lightly pry on the door to pop it open. So just a tip... I bent the lip up slightly to keep that issue from happening again (see Pic).Hope this helps you guys out in your decision. And please like my review if this helped you.

Sets up fine. Until you close it. Then it will not open with key or code!
Looks fine. Assembled fine. Beeps fine. But as soon as I put the gun in and closed the door, it stopped working. Will not open with the key- will not open with the code. It beeps & lights up. But now My gun is safely locked in the safe that will not open! Annoyed!!! Will update if I get. Help. Otherwise I’ll send it back immediately.
