Its a cross pen, quality is awesome, writes great, smooth action. Only thing i do not care for is the physical size of the pen. It is a rather large circumference. But at the end of the day it works fantastic, looks fantastic and looks great on the desk!

This pen is excellent! I highly recommend for anyone who does a lot of writing, as it is so smooth. Changing the ink is also a very easy task. Definitely with the money!

If there is one thing that's a must for my wife, it is having a pen she can count on. It has to look classy, feel good in the hand, write easily with skips or smudges, and be built to last. The Cross Calais is all of those things. It comes packaged in a handsome box and can be engraved if you want to spend a little more, making it ideal for gift giving. It has a higher price point than some other more basic pens that write really well too, but it should last a lifetime and is actually quite a bit less than many high end writing instruments. The satin chrome finish feels good in the hand as does the wide barrel -- allowing for more effortless writing. The satin has a bit of tooth to it and diminishes the appearance of finger prints. The nib pops out with a twist and stays put until purposely retracted. If you're do a lot of writing by hand, want a pen that works flawlessly, and is a joy to use, you can't go wrong with the Cross Calais Satin Chrome Ballpoint Pen. Refill included. ~ Kort

Nice pen overall.

Sometimes when you start writing, other pens will require you to scribble on something before the ink flows. This pen DOES NOT have that problem. It's always ready to write and the ink is always flowing, even when you leave it sit for a weekend or longer. The design, balance and weight of the pen combined with whatever Cross did to design the ballpoint make this one of the best ballpoint writing experiences in this price range. I have a Faber Castell that cost me more than 4x this pen and the refills in black and blue. It's pretty close to this. I bought three so I'd have one with blue ink and one to travel with me. If you like ballpoint, you'll love these pens. *IMPORTANT NOTE: If you feel resistance while writing, try changing your paper or it might be time for a refill. I just wish they came with a blue refill. LOL . . . Happy writing!

great pen for the $30. Have multiple. Ink cartridges easy to find and replace. Solid, clean design. Smooth operation. Nice weight and feel. Very durable.

Looks nice and new. Can't tell how it writes, given that there was no ink in the pen or the box. I am keeping the pen because it was a good deal, and I plan to buy refills. However, given that the condition was noted as "Used - Mint," it is ridiculous that this was not checked. UPDATE: The ballpoint pen refills I bought have arrived, and the pen writes like a charm. Still irritated with the lack of attention regarding the sale.
