This works great for engraving once you learn how to work it. Bigger than expected.

It looked to be good quality and was easy to put together.... Says android capable but very limited to what you can do... I sent this item back.

Does not come with clear directions. Very disappointing, not for a beginner and not user friendly. I was hoping it would be different. Feels like something is missing.

Laser Engraver Wainlux JL3 ProWe were really excited to get this laser engraver, but I feel a little let down. The assembly instructions are so bad they are outright wrong in parts, and we were only able to put the engraver together by consulting online videos. There are no instructions included for working the engraver, so that was another hunt for videos--this is not a "beginner-friendly" device for learning on. The software that comes with the unit is really frustrating to use and not intuitive at all.This engraver is very strange to my mind. You basically eyeball where to place the material that you want to engrave and then just set it there and hope it doesn't move. (The engraver is motionless and doesn't rock the desk, but if you have a strong gust of wind or fan going in the room, your material will move--there's no clips or anything to adhere it in place.) If you guess wrong, you could end up accidentally engraving the surface you put the engraver on!This laser engraver also can't handle really fine lines or teeny tiny text--the documentation that came with it even says so, which makes me a bit annoyed at the product pictures showing itty bitty letter on the glass cookie jar. (How are you even supposed to keep the glass from rolling around while it engraves? I cannot stress enough that you just put the material under the engraver and say a little prayer that it doesn't move!)It comes with some thin sample sheets of wood and we had fun trying those out. Note that this laser absolutely will generate a smell--you're essentially burning the wood, after all--so that may guide you in your decision where to setup. This Laser Engraver WAINLUX JL3 Pro, 30W Fixed-Focus Laser Engraving Machine, High Precision is a very capable machine in the right hands, but for a beginner this will probably be a nightmare to get to the point where they're comfortable and able to create some really great things with this machine.Anybody who has experience with a CNC machine or CAD software will have a much better experience, but even a beginner with motivation will be able to learn how to use this with a bit of trial and error.Setting up the machine itself wasn't too difficult but I've built quite a few 3D printers which is a similar assembly process. Once setup I turned it on and connected it to my computer then downloaded the software and began the process of laying out the design I wanted to burn onto canvas. I adjusted the power and speed levels and was really impressed with how well it turned out.I've been addicted to using this thing since that very first canvas finished, I've used it on about thirty more canvas pieces and just started using this for wood art and I'm engrossed with all this can do.Overall, this is an amazing machine for any hobbyist, maker, or artist, the number of things you can create with this are limited only by your imagination. I highly recommend this, and I apologize for cutting this review short but I've got another project idea I want to start working on. 5/5 stars.

The written directions are awful and missing directions. I managed to find a YouTube video that had directions for putting this together i was almost finished that there are wires missing. This is compleatly useless without them.UPDATE 3/7/22- I contacted Amazon, they sent me a new one and the exact same wires are missing. I submitted photos and included pieces from both sets missing the exact same 2 connections missing.AMAZON STOP SELLING THIS PRODUCT IT IS INCOMPLETE

Opened the item seems all good except nuts and bolts are mia cant review it more till I receive the pieces to hold it together. <edited> just now got the nuts and bolts to this it works but I had to affix the limit switches due to poor design wanted zip ties for then I used screws. All in all if you get a working one not a bad entry into laser engraving.

I could never get my own designs to cut, and after cutting 3 times with their designs it no longer had wifi or moved. It was also missing the cord that connected to that red part.
