didn't even need to use a tap/chaser
used these to clean out a couple unused bolt holes in my vehicle's 12 year old engine bay. they were corroded and filled with debris. a spray of rust release and then these cleared those threads right up. I didn't even need a tap/chaser. these don't fall apart but they are pretty sharp on the bristles

Omg!!! These are not what I expected! Better!! These brushes are firm to grip and they are great to use on anything. The bristles are strong and the handle is grippable. Use with caution on stainless steel but anywhere else go for it!
