Probably the best Asus routers available
I need to justify why I say these could be the best Asus routers. They are not the fastest, they don't have all the latest tech - but they look stylish and they are fast! I have tested almost every Asus router from the last few years. I have an odd layout to my house, which previously required 6 different routers (combination of XT8's and AX86U). I was using the 3rd 5Ghz band of the XT8's in wireless mesh mode, and connect via cable to the AX86U. I sold those other routers and replaced them with 3 XT12's. Initially 2 were connected through ethernet, but eventually I connected the remaining one with ethernet. The speeds were fast when using wireless AIMesh - but even faster wired. I have a 2gb connection, and I get download speeds of up to 1.2gb on my iPhone a few meters away from the router. I should add that I had to wire these in as I live in an area that constantly gets affected by DFS, meaning the 3rd WiFi band (5ghz-2) would disconnect. But since wiring them, the speeds are amazing. I use this in full triband mode and this gives me great coverage - when I am indoors, the 5ghz-1 band is used (as it has lower power output), but when I am further away from the router, that's when the more powerful output of the 5ghz-2 band is useful. I recommend this device for both wired and wireless mesh setups. There is a very similar ET12 available, where the 3rd band uses 6Ghz. I would only recommend this if you are going to have a fully wired mesh system, eg 2 or more ET12's connected via ethernet. And only then if you really need to use 6E - very few devices support it. But, as the range of 6Ghz is worse than 5Ghz - you will get better performance from a fully wired XT12 than the ET12, due to having the 2nd band in the 5Ghz available, which has higher transmit power. If you are going to be sitting next to the ET12 - then you may appreciate the slightly faster speeds. But as mentioned, I get speeds of 1.2gb on my phone - I am unsure that you will get much faster than this. Of course, these routers don't live in isolation - Asus has other routers in the ROG range that have similar features, eg the AX-11000 pro, the 16000pro - however, these are all massive routers. I did not notice much of a speed difference between these though. Obviously the 16000 pro is the best - but for just a bit more money you could get 2 XT12's - that's hard to beat. Finally, I don't want to knock the XT8's - those are great routers, just not as fast as the XT12's. I also had an XT9 in my setup, however I don't think the price difference is worth it for the XT9.

Simples!
Preface :: I am a technical person who has worked in the IT industry for around 15 years This mesh system was bought to replace my existing 2 node mesh system, the CT8 models. It was a breeze. Literal plug and play. Powered off both my CT8 nodes, brought them down beside my fibre modem where I was setting up these new ones incase I needed the auld ones. Plugged in my primary XT12 to power and the fibre modem, and the ASUS app near enough immediately picked up the new system, and hand-held the setup nicely. Applied my existing settings, so reused the WiFi names, passcodes, DHCP scope, line details, and security settings with no conflicts in the Asus setup. Almost immediately my devices started connecting to it across the house. Paired the second node via ethernet cable, then disconnected the cable once set so I could put it in situ in my office. Think the only devices that had any form of issue connecting was my Windows 11 pc that connects to the 2nd node via ethernet cable. To resolve that, all I needed to do was disconnect the cable between PC and Mesh node, forget the network in Windows, reboot pc, reconnect cable to node, and done. The mesh system has been running consistently with no bottlenecks, issues, hangs, or crashes since I installed it in April. That includes upgrading the fibre connection to 900Mbps as well, which the Mesh handles no problems. Shown in the screenshot of this review is the speed test ran from the Asus app while writing this review, running 950mbps down and 104mbps up. Great wee handy feature built in to the app.

Good stable Mesh .. without SmartConnect
I had a AiMesh combo GT-AX11000 + RT-AX92U which was very unstable (wireless backhaul constantly dropping to 2.4GHz band). After much hesitation I decided to give Asus AiMesh another chance with a system dedicated for it, and this XT12 seemed to fit the bill. So far I'm very happy with it. The AiMesh has been stable for weeks, the range with 2 units is amazing. One issue I had when setting up: I originally left Smart Connect on to have only 1 SSID for 2 bands (the other 5GHz being dedicated for backhaul), and with that setup, AiMesh was very unstable, with the satellite unit loosing connection (fast blinking green LED, not sure what that means). As soon as I removed Smart Connect, everything was good. As it's my preferred setup, I'm not too bothered, but still, that costs 1 star... It may be down to firmware as this product is fairly new. In term of speeds, nothing to complain about. It's handling well the BT FullFibre 900, and Wifi speeds are satisfactory. Bonus: Merlin firmware is supported on this device, and has been working like a charm (gives a much more reactive UI as well...)

It's a powerful mesh setup
After having read many reviews on various mesh setups and asking many questions about if the wifi signal would penetrate a solid brick house I was a little nervous when I finally bit the bullet and ordered this setup. I needn't have worried, after firstly setting up which was an absolute breeze on the ASUS router app and reconfiguring the network SSID and passwords to my chosen names, it was then simple to then re add all my network devices, assumedly as there had been a router change and protocols maybe needed to be reset, I'm no tech wizard so I don't fully understand the this then that protocols but getting things setup was fairly easy. The one thing that did cause me a headache was my NAS drive which because port forwarding and UPnP had been disabled I then had to do a bit of self educating and sign into the ASUS router and switch things on, I think these were switched off for extra layers of security purposes/ So the main router is sat under my stairs at the front of the house and the node is upstairs in our 3rd bedroom approximately 10metres away from the main router and as this is an old brick house its using the wireless dedicated backhaul as the communication method which is working excellently and giving us a much improved wifi signal all around our home and further and stronger into our gardens, a big plus. This setup was bought to replace a router provided by our ISP which worked but didn't give the quality of signal particularly upstairs and we've noticed significant improvements in how our smart home features are more reliable since changing the router from the zyxel to the ASUS. Our ISP also wanted £5 per month more for a mesh setup node to work with our old router but it simply wasn't fit for purpose and had no improvement in our signal strength/quality, yes this router was pricey but it goes to show you get what you pay for. I would heartily recommend this mesh setup as it fulfils our needs perfectly and should hopefully be future proof for some time to come.

Great for gigabit internet!
I bought these as i have Gigabit internet & wanted a mesh system & scrap the ISP router. Due to skys DHCP option 61 i was limited on what consumer products i could get without going into enterprises gear like ubiquity udm pro etc. So cant do tp link with skys fttp. looked at the orbi RK852 but loads of reports of issues with poor app loading / laggy, mesh disconnects. Originally decided on the ASUS ET12 with wifi 6e as i have a few 6e devices like PC. I saw dongknows review on XT12 vs ET12 & for a full wireless mesh the XT12 is better with wireless backhaul and ET12 is better with wired backhaul. For me defeats the purpose of a wireless mesh. Easy to setup the XT12 just unplugged sky router from the openreach ONT, logged into the router’s networking page, did option 61 protocol & was up and running. Plugged node next to the main one so its synced and once synced placed it where i wanted it. Great thing about these and the nodes you can change the roaming sensitivity so if devices are hanging on to a node when another is closer you can change the sensitivity of when a device is dropped & picked up by another node. Will take a few days to get the number right but once sorted devices flow perfectly. (This also matters depending on how far 2nd node is away from main node aka router) My node is on a different floor and has -55db signal from main node which strength is great. I have the 5ghz-2 setup as the wireless backhaul and works like a charm. Ive attached a picture of the speed im getting from the 2nd node so not the main router. Main router I basically get the same speed but lower loaded/unloaded latency. I game on this mesh as well so i have gaming packets setup for QOS & works a treat i avg 18-25 ping in games like COD on wifi. If i was ethernet it would ovbs be lower. I have plugged into the node via ethernet to my pc to test and get around few ms more latency which is great means the routers work well at keeping the signal quality. Overall i really recommend these if you have gigabit internet!

System is dreadful - wifi constantly fails. Sadly going to return this.
I bought this 2 pack router system just over 3 months ago. For a couple of months it worked very well with excellent speeds etc. However in the last 4 or 5 weeks the wifi has become almost useless. Even when I removed any possible interference, moved the routers within 30ft (and direct line of sight) ,made sure the firmware was up to date, tried to adjust the multiple router settings had several emails with support and spoke to them on the phone the wifi is dreadful. I am returning this product with great disappointment.

Impressive speed
Replaced a Vodafone Hub which I did not get higher than 1Gb/s speeds over Wifi (neither via ethernet as Vodafone hub does not do more), this one does almost the full incoming one up to 1.5 Gb/s measured. Going through 2 walls and about 10m distance, I still get on the other mesh router a Wifi speed of up to 700Mb/s. These two also look very good unlike gaming routers with lots of antennas sticking out. Can only recommend, specifically if you do not need Wifi 7 as the price has come down for these.

Blazing Fast & Rock Solid Wi-Fi 6!
Upgraded to the XT12 and couldn’t be happier. Speeds are incredible, even with multiple devices streaming and gaming at once. Covers my entire house with strong, stable signal. The setup was quick using the ASUS app, and the 2.5G port is great for future-proofing. It’s not cheap and it’s a bit bulky—but if you want top-tier performance, this router delivers.

Best mesh routers ever
After a lot of research, and coming from almost twenty years of poor performance routers, repeaters, etc, including from reputable brands like Netgear, Dlink, TpLink, finally decided to fill my house with four of these all wired. I can predict at least a decade of pure performance and reliability. Important: contrary to market trends, you DO NOT need an account, they DO NOT collect your data, and you DO NOT require a subscription for anything. Web interface very comprehensive. Mobile app is simple but effective

Główne powody 1) Ograniczone możliwości konfiguracji sieci VLAN - brak możliwości przypisania VLAN do sieci podstawowej. 2) Brak możliwości przypisania adresów IP dla innych podsieci (gościnnych) 3) Brak wydania Merlin wspierającego VLAN 4) Brak możliwości ustawienia firewall w zakresie dostępu do sieci gościnnych i pomiędzy nimi.

Don't waste money.
I bought this by mistake and i compare it with linksys Hydra pro 6e and i shocked, because linksys is AXE 6600 and asus is AX11000. And both give me almost same result. Sorry Asus i am very disappointed.

risolti i problemi in casa a 3 piani
