Best Buy - Good Buy
Motor with gears are a perfect size. it is a bit noisy but its not the gears its the motor itself. But the noise is not an issue for me. This unit is placed in a 80-C Degree location and still chugs away.

These motors provide an excellent way for students to explore electricity and engineering skills.

Excellent basic plastic motors with connector
Love the connector pins. Like the way these motors come with pre-soldered connector pin vs a stripped wire pigtail. Some motors do not have a wire at all. I actually returned those and got these for a few dollars more. It has saved me some time. Installing and replacing these motors is a breeze now.

Works as well as the factory brand
Needed to replace the motors on a MakerBot robot for my kid. They were always out of stock and the price seemed crazy. Found these on here and they work perfectly! I was worried maybe the speed would be off with a different motor on one axle and these were a match to the factory motor with speed and torque. You get 8 of them for the price of one MakerBot motor!

They work and the price is low.
I have only briefly tried one of the eight motors that I received. I was powering it from a 1 Amp, 5 Volt USB port, with a USB-to-terminal block adapter cable. It worked fine. I had to squeeze the shaft fairly hard, between my thumb and forefinger, to slow down the motor. It makes a little noise when running, but it wasnโt too loud, to me. And wow they are cheap, at qty 8 for about $12. Delivery was very quick, too.

They are inexpensive and work but...
Good for just playing around. Pretty weak motors. There is a nub sticking out on one side that gets in the way of the wheel. Tried cutting it off but it is an axil support of some kind.

Worked great to drive a small robot platform
Needed some geared motors to drive a small robot platform. At 200 RPM these seemed about right for what I needed to do. I attached them to a 3D printed base driving a couple of 40mm wheels wired up in parallel to 2 AA batteries. They worked great for this little project. The two motors seemed to track each other will resulting in the platform driving straight at a reasonable speed, which is all I was looking for at this time. I plan to connect them through an L298N control module for the next project and will update this review after that. All in all though, they seem affordable and they worked well for my application and I would, and in all likelihood probably will buy them again. Update: Since I saw these had shafts on both sides, I made some super basic mini bots. Just one of these motors, two wheels and some power. I might make something to lift up the front end, but they actually work pretty well just the way they are.
