Lovely little ceramic palette. Great for a limited palette or extra colors!
I love this little palette! I use mine along side the Meeden 32 Well Ceramic Watercolor Palette. The 32 Well Palette is set up like a color wheel. These are the colors I work with the most. The Meeden 12 Well Palette is loaded with additional pigments that I love. I call it my studio palette sidekick! But it would work great as a limited palette too. The wells are roomy. Larger than full size watercolor pans. The lid is great for mixing, and so easy to clean. It is a sturdy ceramic palette. And a good value, imo. I would absolutely buy it again.

Great design, will buy more
I have really enjoyed Meeden ceramic palettes. I also have the 7 well floral. They do not stain, are very handy and this design fits easily on my desk. I like the larger paint wells and the mixing well & lid.

Perfect size for small work surface!
I am so glad I purchased this palette! I use this for my smaller scale watercolor paintings, I find the well size is perfect for what I need. I also enjoy that there are 12 individual wells for mixing my paint, the quality is exceptional and the weight of it keeps it from jiggling around when I blend my watercolors. I have only used the cover to cover the watercolors that I have blended so no dust or doggy hair floats into them when I need to step away. I chose this brand because of the good reviews, and I feel like I got a great value for the money.

Great value and design for watercolors, but with flaws
I really like the general design of this palette for watercolors. The 24 wells offer plenty of slots for colors, and the lid acts as an ample mixing surface. The porcelain is a joy to mix watercolors on and easy to clean. The lid also protects your leftover paints between sessions and keeps the whole thing in a compact, neat package. The palette is a little smaller than I expected, but not terribly undersized when you lay both the palette and lid out. It is worth mention that, as you can see from my photo, it's not very level. The palette bottom is rough and stays put pretty well, but the lid spun like a top when I first got it. I've added 4 non-slip feet to the top of the lid - it doesn't look great, but it works much better! The lid also doesn't fit very snuggly on the bottom palette - I also cut several small foam pads in half and put then around the rim so that it fits both better and more gently. Overall, it needs a little modification to be good - but for a porcelain palette under $20, I'm willing to do a little modification!

good product
Convenient, portable, and easy to clean. My only complaint is that the indivisual wells in the palette are very small. However, to be fair I mostly use these for mixing and not to use as a palette so I would say it is a 5 star product if used as intended.

Just the right size
Bought these for travel and was not disappointed. Of course the cover top does not attach so I just use a heavy rubber band to secure top and bottom. For two uses them both. Wells are perfect size for tube paint and when top is inverted is a perfect mixing tray. Good value for the money spent.

Excellent for small quantities of paint, not suitable for travelling with filled wells.
I use watercolours on A5 paper and smaller, which this has been perfect for. Any bigger and the wells wouldn't be big enough. It's very sturdy, easy to clean and has no flaws in the surfaces that would impact mixing or damage brushes. It hasn't stained at all, which my previous, cheap plastic ones always did nearly immediately, even if I leave paints to dry in it and reactivate them later. When mixing, if paint splashes over the edges of a well, it sits on top without running into other wells and is easy to gather back into the well with the brush. The paint doesn't cling to it either unless it's left to dry for a while - I have no trouble picking up everything with my brush. The lid just sits on top, it doesn't clip or fit tightly and isn't air tight, so it isn't suitable for travelling with filled wells unless you let the paint dry and then held the top on with a rubber band or something. Even while empty, if you want to bring the lid, it doesn't stay on the base by itself so I've used a tight ziplock bag to keep them together without knocking around and damaging each other. I don't actually use the lid at all, though it could be used as a mixing surface - I prefer to use extra wells, but that's just me.

Read dimensions carefully.
Nice, smaller than expected but my own fault.

Brilliant product, but not as big as you think
The Medeen 24 well porcelain palette/mixing tray has been a great addition to my painting tools, both for acrylics and oils. The wells are great for mixing up thinned acrylics and blended colours without the hassle of a wet palette and colour bleeding, however the wells themselves are very shallow and less than half the size I expected based on the pictures. This takes a bit of getting used to but does cut down on the paint I am putting out so in a way helps ration those a little better. For oil paints the flat lid (mixing tray) has so far been flawless and the smooth, flat surface has made spreading and mixing paints easy and enjoyable. It hasn't taken any staining so far which I am grateful for. Overall the whole palette is smaller than i expected but also the perfect size for a crowded or miniature focused workspace. The ceramic cleans really easily and the weight of both halves mean they generally stay put on the work table, regardless of whatever else you are moving around. All in all, can't recommend highly enough for anyone who does miniature painting and is looking for a quality palette to make colour and paint management a much easier process without having to relearn how to paint by using a wet palette.

Too delicate, lid is too loose
The lid rattles, it's too loose. Also, you won't be able to replace or return it because amazon brushes off their hands off it saying it's third party item being sold directly from the seller and the customer care will speak to u in full attitude saying u made the mistake despite there being no info
