The Secret Art of Mead Making Revealed

What can't I say about this book by Will Kalif! I was enjoying every page from the start to the finish and the author really broke down the mead making process into easy, understandable steps. On top of that each step was given first as a general how to do then as an exact step-by-step with the measurements and items you will need. This book also open my eyes to mead making that I was unaware of that will greatly inhance my meadmaking experience!

This book broke the process down into easy to understand steps. I especially liked that it was written at a novice level. At times it was a little too repetitive, but that was easily understood was some people were just going to read the parts that they feel were necessary. Overall a good guide for a rookie.

Do not waste your time and money with this "book." Buy instead Ken Schramm's "The Compleat Meadmaker." Schramm is a better writer, and his work is a more comprehensive resource, yet is also for beginners.If you don't want to spend the additional $5 on The Compleat Meadmaker, still don't buy this one; just head over to gotmead.com. The information in "The Secret Art of Mead Making Revealed" is not worthless, but it's not worth buying. Free information you can find on the internet will be more valuable to you than this pamphlet.

Most of what is in this book can be found on the author's mead website stormthecastle.comSeek that out first rather than spending the $16 on this.It is a great beginners guide though if you do not want to keep referring to the net.

What a great introductory course. Mr. Khalif does a wonderful job of presenting the world of mead in a way that is not intimidating or unacessible. Very useful, a must have if one desires to create the sweet nectar enjoyed by the likes of Zeus and Juno.

Great book, makes you feel like you've passed novice and are a adept mead maker just from the knowledge of this book.

Nice intro to mead making. I wish a little bit more time had been spent on the properties of different types of yeast, however excellent value for money.
