DEF NOT WORTH $150
Im not sure how to rate this jacket... I have been purchasing flight Jackets for many years .... This jacket: Quality: fair? This jacket feels like something you could get at Walmart for about $35ish doallars... I know I know, L2b's are supposed to be light weight and no lining ;and so many people complain that these jackets are cheap feeling (because no lining) ...but this one is different: 1st: the material of the jacket is very unimpressive... it came wrinkled and still wont "unwrinkle" after a week. Its a matte color and is noticeably thin... and feels cheap... the material feels like i might rip .. it is def not "flight satin" and compared to the NASA L2b (Alpha) feels very disappointing (in fatc i purch a L2b knockoff here on amazon and that cheaper "no name" L2b is way nicer material. The cuffs and collar are made well but very unimpressive.... the zipper is well made, yet still is not smooth. There are no tags where you would normally look for one.... Like the famous ALPHA tag near the collar,,, in fact it was hard to find the washing instructions and and sizing tag... much less the cool semi military style tag ALPHA is also known for...There is no lining (not expected either) and yet the material is so thin that it barely functions as a wind breaker. COLOR: This sage green color is the LEAST attractive green color i have ever seen on a jacket... it is as lite colored as it looks in the pics (on this and ALPHA web sites) and no where near looks like the typical Rich Green you may have seen on any cheap MA-1 (and no where near close to the really nice ones) ...it is nothing like the nice Sage Air Force Green- Nylon flight jackets usually have. The color and lack of features make this jacket look and feel more like an ARMY tanker jacket... it is def a no frills jacket with a very Generic Feel -very... ( I have other ALPHA L2bs and this one is pretty disappointing) ...every time i put it on, I keep thinking, why did i pay $150 for this???? I think its worth $50? and prob only cost $15 5o make it... and the cheap L2 knockoffs on amazon are nicer and cheaper (I know I have one)... although the ALPHA NASA L2b (purch off ALPA web site) is pretty nice...but not really worth $165... but its way better than the $150 L2b i purchased here. FIT: I am 5'10" and 215- not athletic, but not a big stomach either and the Large is very form fitting ... a good summer fit.. but a lil tight if i wear a hoody underneath it... I prob woundt recommend it to someone my size -unless you like your jackets a lil tight... and every L2 manufacturer i have talked with: have said I should get an XL and the NASA L2 i have is an XL and its a better fit...but a little less flattering as well. Bottom line, I had faith that ALPA woulndt sell a cheap generic feeling jacket for $150... I thought, that somehow, it would be worth it... because its an ALPHA jacket ... to be honest, the ad pics for this jacket are pretty generic (lame?) looking so there was no false advertising on their part. I kinda wish ALHA would make an L2b that was as nice as there battle washed MA-1's ... or in the rich sage Flight Satin Green .... Id get one of the MA-1s but even the "thin" versions of the MA-1 style jackets are very"puffy"...and the normal versions are absurdly puffy.

Military Issue Styling with Commercial Flair
I own two original issue Alpha Industries jackets, an MA-1 and a L-2B issued by the US Army with the Mil-Spec ID inside the pocket liner dated 1973. Nothing used to say "pilot" better than a military issue Alpha Jacket. Just like the leather A-2 a generation before it. Today I guess it's popularity defines a lot of people in a lot of ways. Times change. I ordered my latest addition L-2B from Alpha Industries as the other two are becoming a little worn - especially in the sleeves and collar. The Stratos color I ordered is a sort of old olive drab. Very nice and still has a military appearance. The new jacket has some differences from the original however. There are pockets on the inside as well as the outside. The original issue had none inside. Should be a nice addition as I often use the inside pockets on my heavier MA-1 issue. The new style L-2B has two logo marks that I would rather they not be there. One is an Alpha Logo stitched into the wind break flap behind the front zipper that really is distracting. And there is also a little cloth loop tab in the left sleeve cigarette pocket. Tacky and unnecessary though some folks may like them. I cut it off. As for quality it appears to be actually better than the originals. Especially the knit sleeves and collar. Much better in fact. Hopefully it doesn't get holes as easily as the old originals did.

I ordered a size up and got a size that felt like a size, true to my size.
I ordered a size XXL, expecting it to be somewhat bigger on me, but lo' and behold it turns out it fits me perfectly. I'm a size XL and I felt unease about ordering a size XXL on this model, but for the $51 price point I just went ahead and bought it. I read tons of review of people telling me size up/ down and I'm not sure of it all. After trying out this jacket I'm in love with it, with how it fitted on me, and how much I paid for it. Really not worth the full $135 price point, but if you wait you can definitely snag it for half the cost. You're paying for the brand, not the material used itself. If you're looking for a spring jacket I highly recommend this jacket and the skymaster by alpha industries. They both have the same fit and filling, just a few design differences. Both these jackets don't have the polyester filling as AI's other flight jacket models, so you don't have to worry about sweating in these. Overall, this jacket makes for a good spring/ slight chilly season.

FIT/ SIZING
I am a XL in Alpha regular jackets and a XXL in Alpha sim fit. I am 5'11" 210lbs and I chose an XL in this jacket. My mid section is fairly flat with just a little bulge. If you have a protruding stomach maybe size up but I fear the sleeves may be too long for you.It looks great on me now....hopefully I don't gain any weight since this cut would not be forgiving I don't think.IMO this jacket is meant to be worn up on the waist and somewhat slim fitting. The color STRATOS is IMO not presented very well in the color chart. What I received was less saturated compared to the picture. I still like it though and the quality is decent..

Good jacket but expensive
Looks better in the pictureIf you are in colder areas, you need to have sweater underneath.

in which case you'd probably be better off with some kind of down filled jacket
A stylish and authentic version of the ubiquitous military flight bomber jacket. Alpha Industries was the original manufacturer for the military and this version lives up to the original's specs. Well constructed with authentic details. There are two versions. A lined version and an unlined version. I purchased the unlined which I think is more appropriate for everyday wear -- unless you live in a very cold climate, in which case you'd probably be better off with some kind of down filled jacket. A word about sizing. The jackets run a bit small. Consider buying one size larger, unless you really like a snug fit, or you're never planning on layering under it. All in all, a high quality product.

Espectacular
Es una chamarra muy ligera, no tiene forro, pero cumple las expectativas, la compré para regalo.

Size is a tad smaller than I would like
I believe I ordered this in a large. It certainly is slim fitting. I would buy it again in a xl. I'm 5'11 160lbs
