California HOV Stickers 3M Paint Protection Film - 2025, 2024, 2023, and 2022 (for Teal, Red, Green, and Yellow Stickers)

Since these are now expired, not sure if anyone will find this valuable but these decals are awesome. They fit perfectly to the stickers and are extremely easy to put on. Our car has been through multiple car washes and 10k miles; the decals held throughout.

Wow! Sooooo glad I put these under my CA EV Stickers last year. The program expired and I was not looking forward to removing the CA sticker after reading about using heat, Goo Gone, etc and allowing an hour to take them off. Today I tried just lifting the CA sticker off the protection film and it came right off! Then I easily removed this product from the car. Easy Easy! It took me less than 30 seconds to remove each one (I was being super careful). This is a wonderful product and so worth it.

Works great. Pretty easy to use. Will be really easy to remove, now that the feds have eliminated solo EV privileges.

I installed the decals for 1 year on my car. It was easy to remove (just peel off the PPF) and left no residue. Thanks!

I purchased the 3M film for the California HOV stickers after getting a new Tesla Model 3 in 2023. I had an older Toyota Prius on which we stuck the HOV stickers without any protection; it was difficult to remove on our own, and I had to pay a detailer to remove the stickers and adhesive. The installation was straightforward, and I was happy with the product. A little over a year later, I was rear-ended at a stop light and would need to replace the rear bumper, losing my HOV stickers. My insurance company told me I had to remove the remaining HOV stickers to surrender to the DMV; that task was daunting, but the product worked as described. The removal was painless; I started at a corner and peeled slowly with ease, and there was no paint damage. I ordered a replacement set of HOV stickers with the DMV, and there was no question about ordering another set of these 3M protection film; it has been proven to be a fantastic and durable product!

Easy to install and sticks on very well. Fits the stickers nicely. Makes me feel better knowing that I can remove the stickers off the car without leaving any residue on the paint. Wished it was a bit cheaper. Would be reasonable as less than $10

Love this idea! These pre-cut ppf stickers are a great idea and kudos to the person who came up with this idea. Many years ago I had a 1st gen Honda Insight (the weird little hand-built 2 seater from 2000). I had HOV lane stickers on it and enjoyed the empty carpool lane (ah, those were the days!). The stickers eventually expired and I took them off, and it was a huge pain in the backside! When you peel them off they leave behind a silver film (part of the security of the sticker) in the shape of the sticker and this film is very secure on the paint and takes a long time to carefully scrape off. I tried all sorts of solvents to remove it but only scraping was effective. Fast forward to today (23 years later!) and I now have a BEV car that qualifies for the HOV lane. While it's frequently full of other cars, it can still save a lot of time in the SF Bay Area and all over So.Cal. It took the DMV 4 months (four!!) to get me the HOV stickers for this car and since I try to keep cars for a long time (kept the Insight for 12 years) I'll want to remove the expired ones when these expire in 2 years, and don't want to go through that frustration of carefully scraping them off again. So the idea of putting the HOV sticker on another sticker is genius! The PPF will peel off an maybe leave a little glue which should come off with some goof-off or other solvent, but I won't have to deal with the silver film since that will be stuck to the PPF. So happy that this is a thing! Keep in mind, this is intended to be permanent, so don't get these thinking you'll be able to transfer the HOV stickers to another car. That won't work. Taking off the ppf will stretch it and the adhesive will be destroyed, so you will need to get replacement HOV and PPF stickers if you need to replace them (like from an accident/repair). For those of you that care about your paint and may have already applied PPF to your car, I have PPF on the hood and front bumpers and these ppf stickers work fine sticking to existing PPF. On the rear of my car I don't have PPF protecting the paint (at least not where I stuck the HOV stickers), and there was no problem sticking these to the paint. My advice to you if you buy these (highly recommended if you care about your paint) and want to apply the HOV stickers is wash the area (or the entire car) first then use a little isopropyl alcohol to clean the area where you plan to stick the stickers. You want to remove any wax or ceramic coating you might have applied to avoid having the stickers peel around the edges. That also happened on my Insight and it was frustrating. If you leased the car then you probably don't care, so why did you read to the end of this review :)

Only had my HOV stickers briefly and was curious to see how easy it was to remove them. As you'll see from the videos below, definitely as advertised!! VERY easy to remove them with zero damage to my paint.
