WSP Luxury Rustic Shaving Soap 4.4 Oz in Tin Artisan Made in America Using Vegan Natural Ingredients (Vetiver)

I have a handful of WSP Shaving Soaps in various scents and they are great... For the price they are top-shelf. The soap is a bit thirsty so let it sit with hot water on top for a bit before lathering and then use/add a bit more water than you are used to and the soap will turn that really nice shiny color that makes for an incredible shave!!

Guys, Do yourself a favor and buy this soap. I've tried (and own) several other soaps and creams - TOBS, HTGAM, RazoRock, Jack Black, Body Shop, and some others. I am incredibly impressed by this soap. I purchased the Vetiver scent (I also have the Barbershop scent in a sample). I used both with my WSP High Mountain White brush and the lather was both effortless and incredible. Loading the brush was a breeze - it practically explodes in lather upon contact. I face lather and building the lather was just as easy... I didn't even need to add more water to get a great lather. The shave was amazing - the razor glided across my face comfortably, quickly (this stuff is Slick!) and both scents smell great. I got a very close, very comfortable and cushioned shave. Afterward, the soap washed off easily and didn't leave a residue of any sort. My skin felt clean and hydrated. I'm really very happy with this soap - it hits all the marks of a great soap... and a great purchase!

Not a realistic vetiver fragrance.

I really really wanted to love this soap. For me it lathers and loads very easily, the slickness is there, the cushion is there, the scent is superb, but, alas this soap really burns my face. I am not sure what is in it that does this but my skin really burned. It got red and peeled some the next day around my lip and nose areas. I gave it a rest for a week and attempted to use once more before passing judgment, adding more water to the mix to see if it would help, same issue occurred, if not worse. I also got the Gaelic tweed scent and this was also an issue just a little milder, I still got red skin and irritation, just not an intense burn, as the Vetiver scent. I could not use this either. I was unpleasantly surprised as the scent didn't seem all that strong, so I had figured that the fragrance would not be the issue... Maybe I react to some other ingredient? I am really saddened that I cannot use this soap as it really smells nice and performance was great.Just my experience, and to let folks know that this might be an issue.
