Hemp Calming Chews for Dogs with Anxiety and Stress - 170 Calming Treats

I have a rescue dog who is living with arthritis and has all the aches and pains you'd expect from a very old little guy who spent goodness knows how long out on his own. Because of his history, he panics easily, and looks like he's shaking out of his skin. I decided to try this, in the hope it would make our dog's life a little better. He already gets a multi-vitamin and glucosamine/chondroitin, so I figured another "treat" after supper would be an easy way to try. Giving it to his was less than no problem, and he tried to "dance" for a second treat after inhaling the first one. Happily, the stuff is helping him. He's moving more easily, "dancing" without trouble, and can leap onto the sofa with on the first jump! He's a very small dog, about 15 lbs., and of dubious parentage. He is also a little less uncomfortable in formerly frightening situations. Thunder and lightning doesn't even wake him, and hearing crickets on TV doesn't set off a storm of barking and a little dog hiding behind my legs or under a recliner. He lets us pet him without flinching first, which is a huge thing for us, as we've had him six years and was afraid of a hand moving toward him all this time. Even though I call this miraculous, there are some limits to its magic: little guy is still afraid of car rides, freaks out completely when he gets a harness instead of a collar, or if I put down fresh water while he eats. He never does anything dangerous, just jumps and cries. I had hoped that the car rides would get better, but I am thrilled with the progress he has made. I was asked by a relative if I was getting him high on the hemp chews, and I have to say that I truly don't know. If he is high, it's pretty darned subtle. He doesn't show increased appetite or any of the other stereotypical behaviors of one under the influence of Marijuana. But my position is that if it gives him a mild high so what? He's an elderly dog who has been through a lot, and is strongly feeling the pain of old age. If being a little high is a side effect of this medicines it doesn't matter. No one is asking him to do Calculus, after all.

This works very well in my pug without making him high. He stays calm as he has separation anxiety and when it storms or there are alot of people around. Great for road trips. Highly recommend.

I have only used these a few times but did notice a calming effect that lasts several hours. I have a small dog around 20lbs and administered 1 chew.

These tables are great. They are just strong enough to 'take the edge off' my dogs during a storm.

All right I guess, I didnt really see a difference in the pet we used it for.

Love these for my dogs and have them on autoship. I have a blue heeler and a lab mix and they LOVE these treats. I love giving them before leaving the house. Our lab mix is older and has joint issues, when she’s hurting we give her these to help relax her and let her rest

Got this product last Monday, tried using them and my 2 little 13 lb. dogs would not eat them. Finally, 2am this Saturday morning, during wind storm, I got 1 of my dogs that freaks out by wind and thunder, to eat 1 tablet buried in some food, hoping to calm him down. Nope, did not work, kept me up all night, poor puppy! 6 AM the same morning, he was sick and threw up several times, and won't eat. His poo was runny and had red color to it, possible blood. Keeping eye on him today, hoping his tummy gets better and he will eat something, so far he just hides in the closet and won't eat. Storm passed 2 hours ago. I can only assume pill made him ill. Will return today. Glad it works for other pets, no luck here. 2 DAYS LATER, sick dog still pooping blood, finally ate bland chicken and rice yesterday , first time in 2 days of no eating, this morning won't eat again, vet visit today. BEWARE THIS PRODUCT
