Roc-lon Blackout Drapery Lining White Fabric By The Yard

This material truly blocks all light. The lining is soft and has a definite coating on it. It washed well, I dried it on air dry out of fear of damaging the coating that blocks the light. The shades I lined with this material are in an eastern facing room which has bright direct light in the morning. The room is now so dark in the morning, it impresses me. When holding an intense LED flashlight behind this material, nothing shows through. I would post a picture of my shades darkening the room, but it would just be a picture of a dark room. They also keep the heat out, which is particularly nice at this time of year. This is new to me so I can't speak to it's longevity, but as of now I am very pleased. I also lined a homemade sleep mask with it. It is easy to sew through multiple layers.

This is titled as budget lining but I find it very good quality and excellent blackout protection. I used it on tension rods in my window to keep the light out and summer heat out. Excellent value for the price.

I love this Roc-lon blackout fabric. It is easy to cut, sew, glue, whatever you want to do with it. Personally I use E6000 glue and glue it to the back of the "blackout" curtains I buy. (They are never dark enough) with this Roc-lon blackout fabric on the curtains 100% of the light stays out. Another benefit of the Roc-lon blackout fabric is it helps insulate your windows. In the summer the fabric reflects the heat and keeps your house cool and in the winter it keeps the warm air in. Since I use the high quality glue to adhere this fabric to my curtains I am able to just throw them in the washer and dryer and hang the curtains right back up. no ironing necessary. Not sure if you can tell I really like this fabric. I have it on every window in my house. In my pictures you can see how i glued it on my curtains and you can see how much light it blocks.

Great quality, easy to sew, very effective, no odor. Cuts very straight with little effort. I added this to the back of some velvet curtains that I splurged on. In the photos I attached, the right side has the blackout liner and the left is not yet lined. It doesn’t add much weight, but it makes a big difference in brightness at midday. I think it even makes the drapes look fuller and more luxurious when pulled back.
