One customer shows a label that says 100% Polyester. Mine says 100% Vicoise. It will be some type of synthetic fabric. I highly doubt it is cotton voile,but it does have that look and feel. It's a cheap scarf, so if you prefer natural fabrics, you might have to pay a little bit more. I've hand washed mine, and it dried very soft. **Q: What fabric us this scarf?** A: I have no idea. Flowers are pink/tan/white. Branches are dark brown **Q: Does the border go around all four sides of the scarf?** A: Look at the pale green and teal colored scarves and you can see that the border does not go all the way around. I practiced tying my scarves until I got the border to show on the two points.
