I have had no problems with any leaks or spills. A little hint, when you pour in your hot coffee, leave the lid window open to let some of the steam out, so the lid will seat properly on the tumbler (so heat and pressure doesn't push it up). Once you see the lid is seated on the tumbler, close the window and you will be leak free. Only set back on this is the cleaning part. Coffee gets under the window and difficult to clean out.
