Redring Powerstream Eco Unvented Instantaneous Water Heater, 10.8kW

This product was installed in a holiday flat to replace a normal hot tank and immersion heater. Only one wash basin and a small sink to supply. The main motive was to free up space.The unit works beautifully. The only problem was that the plumber who did the pipework failed to open up the stopcock fully afterwards. Far from making the water hotter, the reduced pressure caused the unit to trip out and supply only cold. Once I realised what was going on and opened up the stopcock fully everything was fine.Totally recommend it.

Seems a bit cheap and Chinese, but once installed is working well. Saves a lot on gas water heating, and no waste.

When they work, they're great. Hot water and fast.I bought and had 2 fit at the same time (bathroom and kitchen), within a couple weeks, 1 stopped working.The remaining working one is brilliant.I contacted Redring directly about three weeks ago and have had no response at all (it's a bit of a faff returning it when it's plumbed in!)There's not too many options on the market, so I'd probably risk buying it again, but to have 50% failure so quickly after being installed and to have zero customer service and I'll have to decommission it, send it back, get a replacement and then have it fit again... it's pretty shocking. Crap, in fact!

Rather annoying as the heater was fine until the cover was put on which would twist the body enough to make the pressure switch leak?! it turned out one of the connectors needed tightening, so a quality control issue.absolute head scratcher though as it was fine without the cover on!?!?!

Superb shower unit.
